Small campground but it's nice and has a pool and playground plus a lake.
Reported ground bees on our sight 3 times no one came walk way to beach was broken and someone could of gotten hurt the swimming pool was dirty should of been cleaned at night for the price you pay to stay there thing should be fixed the internet horrible been going there for 29 plus years and the internet never worked this year things were not kept up
We got a seasonal site and love it! The campground is well maintained and the service is fabulous. Love the pool and lake with inflatables. Great bar too!! Highly recommend.
We stayed there in July alot of activities for everyone pool was so nice bathrooms very clean everyone so nice Amish came sat morning selling there goodies we will return definitely
The Good: Campsites along the river looked really nice. The Bad: We had a 3 day holiday weekend booked for tent camping.Unfortunately the weather did not hold up and our site was completely soaking wet- we could not even steak out our tent. The owner of the campground denied a refund due to policy. The amount of rules and regulations this camp ground has is absolutely absurd. The Ugly: When checking into our site, the woman working the desk was efficient but things took a bad turn really quick. 1. If you book on the Playful Goose website you will get charged a% service fee, which The Playful Goose Staff does not stand behind. 2. If you book on the Playful Goose website you must specify how many nights, adults and tents per site. Without too many logistics, we ended up paying over$220 for a weekend JUST TO CAMP IN HORICON. While trying to set up camp in the rain, a male(we were told he was the assistant manager) in a golf cart drove near our site yelling vulgar language, accusing our group of doing things to the grass(when the grass was a swamp to begin with due to weather) and lastly, as the man was driving away he continued to make harassing comments. The lack of professionalism, courtesy and respect from staff was unacceptable as a paying guest. Playful Goose Takeaway: I will never spend my hard earned money here. Again. And be sure to tell everyone I know to not spend their hard earned money here either. There are so many other beautiful camp grounds within a 100 mile radius and this one will be my last choice. Such a shame this wonderful campground I used to visit has gone down hill.
Very nice small town campground! Bathrooms were EXCEPTIONALLY clean! More of an adult campground - no kids running around. Very quiet and relaxing!
We were just there. It’s amazing. Great Lake floats to play on. Nice bar. Tons of carts to rent. Big pull through sites. Full hookup. Bar at the beach. Serves great food.
Site we got was not the best, but worked out OK. Site was behind the main y coming in to camp, so lots of traffic. Other than that, nothing to complain about. Nice pool, friendly staff.
The owner will pinch every cent out of you that he can
Very clean and fun oriented campground. The sites are very small, you almost feel too close to your neighbors. I have a 33 ft travel trailer and it takes up quite a bit of the camp site. Fire pits are dug into the ground so it’s a process to get the fire started. There’s a store, arcade, miniature golf, a pool….a lot to do.
I really enjoyed the large lot we were on that backed up to a creek which you cannot hear or see but it is all forest behind you. We were situated where the seasonal campers are and near the edge of the campground. Then there is a farm field and I saw deer every day which was lovely. Overall, it was a very quiet part of the campground.
They have a small store and an indoor pool which is nice with Wisconsin weather being unpredictable. It was very crowded on the shallower side and the slide goes into the shallow side as well which makes it very crowded and splashy. I found my time in the pool awesome when there was no one or families whi watch their kids and are just calmer. When big hoards showed up it was a very annoying experience. There's barely seating and it was really dark in the room.
They pride their grass, as they should because it is nice, but the roads in campground were all very narrow so we had to drive on it if a car was coming. If they could widen the roads a bit it would be helpful for driving as well as save their grass more. Similar to their entry, pretty narrow. If their entry was one way and had a different exit it would be helpful.
Overall, the staff was helpful and it was a very pretty campground with friendly seasonal folks. We didn't really interact with any one on the other side of the grounds.
As I said, if they could widen the roads, make a separate exit, add more amenities like theme activities for kids, and make the pool area less dark and move the slide to the deeper end or even 4ft area it would be 5 stars.
Duck Creek, for my money, is the best place in SE Wisconsin. Staff is friendly, sites are big, food is awesome, and when it’s time for quiet, it’s quiet. The fact that there isn’t golf carts buzzing around all hours of the day and night is nice. Kids love the swim pond and pond floating playground. Fish in the pond with little ones or walk to Duck Creek with the bigger ones, fishing is pretty good.
Also, no matter what you do, go to the Do Duck Inn and get the flat fries! Amazing…
Located Within 1.5 miles of I-39 with easy access on & off I-39. Diesel fuel & gas also available at the exit. Campground has 3 pull through sites, big rig friendly, sewer, water, electric, level with easy in & out as well as multiple back in sites for overnight stay or longer. Tent camping available. LP refill onsite, firewood, & Dump station on site available to non guests for $10 fee. Free Wi-Fi, Bar with very good food and pool also on site. VERY CLEAN showers & restrooms. Very safe area for a good night's rest.
Site 97. Shade in the afternoon over looking the water. Bath houses were clean. Friendly neighbors. Mini golf, swimming pool, canoes, kayaking, and paddle boats available.
Friendly place. Alot of seasonal campers
Great Halloween camping
Great places been going there since I was a kid.
The staff here was extremely friendly. We did not spend a lot of time at the campground since we were there for the Dells on a long trip from Atlanta, GA to Duluth, MN. The kids did have a blast in the pond and there is a really nice dog park that our pup enjoyed. There is also a restaurant on site and a small bar down by the pond that were both closed while we were there (we came in after 4th of July weekend and they were taking some time off after the holiday) but seem like they would be great amenities. We would definatley stay again if going to the Dells (about 30 min away). Also, do yourself a favor and stock up at the Lodi Meat Market!
Boring, super expensive, no beach, jump pad kept overheating, must schedule pool time day prior to using and they won’t tell you when you check in.
We tried it about 10 years ago for a family vacation normally we switch after one or two years to another campground but it was so great we have not missed a year and I are planning it for many many more years
There is so much to do here for small children. Fishing, swimming in outdoor & indoor pools, mini golf, playgrounds, arcade games. They have themed weekends, local Amish baked goods. Small enough to walk around the whole campground yet not overly cramped.
This is an older family Campground, lots of seasonal campers. Great sites along the Rock River, just a few minutes from the Horicon Marsh. We stayed with them before their official camping season opened so we missed the amenities. Staff was friendly and helpful. Bird watching was abundant! Great overnight stay.
We came here with a group of four families. It was excellent to have tent, cabin and rv spots available as each family felt comfortable staying there. Very spacious campsites. Clean and well manicured. They have a fully stocked store, pool, kangaroo pad and lake with inflatable slides etc. Their playground is awesome and kept all 12 kids ages 1-12 busy for the whole day. We would stay there again. Showers are 25cents for 4mins. Pretty clean and updated bathroom facilities.
The owner was very nice and helped us get around on the map. With over 500 sites and 350 of them being permanent.... the weekend warriors tend to get "warnings".
We almost lost our golf cart and people literally drive past and stare. This is a little unsettling since we do have littles and with the recent news this place had involving children.
There were bands playing Thursday thru Saturday at night but for $25 dollars per person and watching all the permanent sites people just park outside the gate watching forcing people who actually paid to park farther away.
The pool is nice, they do plan on remodeling at the end of this season.
Overall it was nice but again.... you have to watch your warnings.
Peaceful quiet campground with a nice pool, well stocked fishing pond for catch and release. Only downside, there is nothing to do at this campground, and you have to drive 30 minutes to the city. Close enough to Lambeau Field for you Packer fans.
This is a small campground. It offers Rv pull through sites with electric and water. Along with a variety of other type of sites. There are many seasonal campsites. It is very clean and well run. The owner - Reid was great. It has a small pond to swim in and is also located on big lake. They have boat rentals. I only gave it 4 stars because we prefer full hookup but they did offer pump out service for a small fee. Great location with lots of things to do in the area.
First time here. We were very happy we camped here. Camp surrounds a lake which you can find activities galore on one side of the camp and peace and quiet on the other side with plenty of campsites near the water. There are plenty things to do for kids they have quite a few little playgrounds all around the campground along with their indoor and outdoor swimming pools they don't allow golf carts or anything motorized which keeps the campground quiet and pleasant all the time and restroom and shower facilities super clean all the time. Along with them looking brand new. We fell in love with this camp and will be back for sure. (Already booked for next year)
