ScoutPicked something quick and close to Leavenworth. KOA was over double the price and this spot has full amenities. It is located next to the main road, but it gets quieter (not fully though) at night. The owner/ Host Linda was incredibly friendly and helpful. 30 series spots for drive in had the most privacy away from the front of camp.

TravelerWe have stayed a few times at Silver Springs and its one of our all time favorite . Recently stayed at site 13 and almost no one else was nearby.
Most of the sites are larger than average and mostly separated from the other sites.
There are two main loops (both close to the highway) and one dead-end loop on the southern side really close to the river.
The close access to several hiking trailheads, the White River itself, Goat Falls trailhead (almost no parking there), Crystal Mtn Ski Resort (open in the summer for Gondola rides to the top of the ridge with amazing 360 degree views and a restaurant (check for last seating times)), Sunrise Mt. Rainier entrance, and the rest of Chinook Pass, and close drives to Enumclaw, makes this a fantastic no service campground (public bathrooms with sinks on each loop).
There is a slightly hidden trail through the middle of the northern loop that we accidentally discovered this trip - it has a large group campfire / picnic area that would is not for camping but for day/evening use for a larger group with several picnic tables and cooking spots with a nice short and beautiful walk along the small creek inside the camp loop.
LegendNice folks at check in. A gate code is needed to check in. We had a pull through, gravel site. Utilities were well placed. There was a note not to flush your tank due to there sensitive septic system. There is a nice lake in front of our site. Paths that go to the Yakima river or along side it was nice. Just on the other side of the freeway is the town of Cle Elum. Nice bakeries and breweries is what attracted us. :-)

GuideQuiet with great views. The site is very sandy so be prepared to be covered in it!

- Lots of trees for shade, but open enough to get lots of sun, too.- Flat, sandy soil, good for tents, lots of room.
- Three picnic tables, steel fire pit, bear proof trash cans, 2 clean porta potties are well stocked.
- Right by the river(it's loud, so that might be a con for some).
- You can drive right up to the tent/table area to unload.- Great fishing/swimming hole nearby.
- No trash around, very well kept.
- Beautiful area and river!!
Cons:
- Sandy soil blows around pretty bad if it's windy. Gets in EVERYTHING.
- The gate is kinda hard to unlock because the lock has been abused, needs replacement. Also quite certain the code never changes, so other people could easily get in if they've been there before.
- Porta potties needed emptying.
- Fish in the river are very small, but plentiful.
General comments, suggestions:- Bring fire wood, if fires are allowed- make sure you check before you come.
- Bring a few wasp traps in mid-late summer- BIG black& white hornets, but not too bad early summer.
- Lots of ants, beetles, flying bugs, some mosquitoes, so come prepared.
- Bring buckets for water, and a shovel.
- Good river for fly fishing, but spinners ok too, just harder. COLD water.
- This is bear/cougar country - bring protection.
- Lots of good hiking trails and rock climbing spots nearby.
ScoutWe go to this place every summer. Many people already know the entrance, so nowadays there is a portable toilet available for campers. I recommend downloading the offline map and be prepared to have no cell phone signal. During the day, the view is breathtaking, and at night, the stars complete your stay. Don't expect to have running water, electricity or a shower. Clean up after yourself and take your trash with you because there is no trash can nearby. The coordinates we used for the spot:

Asides from that is great! We have full bars on T-Mobile, and have no neighbors with 300 feet or so.
The entrance is a little tricky, and the “road”s are a little rough when you’re down here.
RangerFound this spot listed on Dyrt, and it did not disappoint. Went mid-June, and there was still snow on the ground and I woke up to low 30 temps and a winter mix falling from the sky. The water was crystal clear, and the site was right on the water with a little boat push off or if you wanted to walk in and swim. I went during the week and left out Saturday morning and passed about 7 trucks heading up to the site. It looks like it would be a very popular place on the weekends. It will require a 4x4, especially after rains, as it's a climb the entire way up over some decent rock gardens. If going up right after the winter bring a chain saw with you as the parks department cleared some previously, I still had to cut 2 more trees that had fallen across the road. All and all it was a beautiful site but be prepared since its a small site it may be full and the hill climb might be for nothing.
