Dispersed Camping North Fork Teanaway Road

Dispersed camping is available at numerous sites along North Fork Teanaway Road. One notable area is directly across from the Teanaway Guard Station by the river, which provides a scenic riverside camping experience. The road follows the river for several miles with various pullouts and clearings suitable for camping. These sites are first-come, first-served, so arriving early during peak season is recommended. Remember these are primitive sites without designated facilities or services.

Dispersed camping in the Teanaway area typically follows standard Forest Service regulations. Campers should practice Leave No Trace principles, pack out all trash, and camp at least 100 feet from water sources. Campfires may be restricted during dry seasons, so always check current fire restrictions before your trip. There are no services provided at these sites, and camping is typically limited to 14 days within a 30-day period. No permits are required for dispersed camping, but always follow posted rules which may change seasonally.

North Fork Teanaway Road is a forest road that provides access to the dispersed camping areas. The road is unpaved and conditions can vary seasonally.
