Twenty-three acres of bliss nestled in the rolling foothills of the Yadkin Pee Dee River Basin along side the southern fork of the Mitchell River.

In all we have 3 sites on the property. The RV/tent site, Glamping Cabin sit, Rustic Cabin site. Each site sits along side the river which is constantly uttering the wonderful sounds of fresh water rolling over the rocks. Also each site is in its own unique zone of the property so you feel like your camping without anyone else around. The RV site and The Glamping site share a porta potty. The completely secluded rustic cabin site sits in the very back of the property with its own outhouse. 

You may encounter wildlife such as Hawk, Deer, Turkey, Duck, Geese, Blue hearing, Box turtle, Skunk, Raccoon, Black snake(non-venomous)

\-Historic downtown Elkin; Restaurants, Gas stations, Recreational parks, Yadkin river access.

\-Stone mountain state park; hiking, scenic views, waterfalls, etc.

\-Wineries/Breweries(McRitchie Winery& Ciderworks, Elkin Creek Vineyard, Slightly Askew Winery, Brushy Mountain Winery to name a few) 

\-Breweries; Skull Camp Brewery and restaurant, Angry Troll Brewing downtown Elkin. 

The surrounding area is the epitome of rural foothills of North Carolina. On your way into the cabin you will see horse's/pastures Cow's/pastures, farm houses and more pastures. Keep your eyes peeled for deer grazing and crossing!

Secluded Mitchel River Camping

We're open April 1 to November 1, which is the perfect time to relax, unplug and refresh with family and friends on the Blue Ridge Parkway. We have 13 full hookup RV sites, 6 camping cabins, 5 tent sites with water and electric and an 8-room motel. Our bathhouse features five private bathrooms with hot showers and utility sinks. Enjoy our 22 acres of rolling hills, woods, walking trails, mountain views, blazing sunsets and starry nights. Take advantage of free Wi-Fi that is available throughout the campground and at the motel. Our camp store is open for guests to grab an ice cream treat, cold drink, snack, firewood, ice, books, gifts or souvenirs. Fancy Gap Cabins and Campground is also the home to one of the longest official Virginia LOVE signs in the state. From the campground easily explore the Blue Ridge Music Center, Mabry Mill and all of the beauty, shopping, wineries, hiking, cycling, and paddling southwest Virginia has to offer.

The Fries New River Trail RV Park is a unique park with spacious sites overlooking a lush green lawn and a narrow winding stream. The RV park is located in a quiet mountain hollow surrounded by thick forested hills on three sides.

The mornings are always cool and light patches of fog float gently across the park rising from the nearby river.

Come enjoy the beauty of early mornings, the sounds of nature beginning a new day, and let your spirit be refreshed as you sip that first cup of coffee. And once refreshed, you'll be ready to enjoy the activities of the day.

Fries New RiverTrail RV Park

From the 200 foot sandstone Raven Cliff to the 1810 iron ore furnace, this recreation area is off the beaten path but worth the effort. With a small primitive campground, picnic area, and large day use area, shelter visitors can spend a few hours or few days. Cripple Creek runs through the picnic area and is popular for fishing, wading, and tubing. Large open fields are great for sports and picnics.

Raven Cliff Campground

## Overview

Raccoon Branch Campground, nestled at the base of Dickey Knob, offers scenic mountain views, hiking trail access from campsites and cool mountain streams. Campers can access Dickey Creek and the Raccoon Branch from the campground. The most notable time to visit is fall, when the trees boast gorgeous fall foliage.   
  
With a location just 11 miles from Interstate 81, the beautiful campground is easily reached by drivers heading out from one of the surrounding cities. 

## Recreation

The beautiful Dickey Knob Trail takes hikers through a Wilderness to the top of Dickey Knob for spectacular views of Sugar Grove and Rye Valley. The creek provides a setting for wading and fishing.

## Facilities

Every site accommodates RV or tent camping and nearly half the campsites have electric hookups. Perks of the campground include flush toilets, drinking water, paved roads and spurs and a dump station. A volunteer host is onsite to welcome visitors and offer advice on the region.

## Natural Features

The campground is at an elevation of 2,880 ft., along a large grassy area, surrounded by pines, hardwoods and rhododendrons. Perched in the Appalachian Mountains, Raccoon Branch is part of the Mount Rogers National Recreation Area, a 200,000-acre stretch of designated wilderness areas. 

## Nearby Attractions

Hike the Appalachian Trail, which extends more than 2,175 miles throughout the Appalachian Mountains across 14 states. The trail was designated as the first National Scenic Trail. The Virginia Creeper Trail, Hungry Mother State Park and Grayson Highlands State Park are nearby.

Raccoon Branch Campground

Cool Breeze Campground is located just South of Galax VA and just off The Blue Ridge Parkway at Milepost 215. We offer 55 sites with full hookups, Bathhouse & Laundry, High Speed WiFi, and over 15 OTA TV stations, Club Rallies are welcome and we have a full kitchen with seating for over 50 people. New River Canoe and Campground

## Overview

Hurricane Campground is one of the best kept secrets in southwest Virginia. Located along a rushing mountain stream under the shade of hemlock and rhododendron, this campground offers a peaceful setting for those looking to relax as well as visitors looking for outdoor adventure.   
  
From the campsite, hikers can access many trails including the Appalachian Trail. This well-known trail extends more than 2,189 miles throughout the Appalachian Mountains across 14 states. It is a protected greenway and owns the title as the first National Scenic Trail. 

## Recreation

Visitors frequently explore the Hurricane Knob Trail. The loop trail, at 1.1 miles, parallels Hurricane Creek for about half a mile, crosses two wooden bridges and ascends to the picturesque Hurricane Knob. The creeks are stocked with trout for a relaxing day of fishing. 

## Facilities

Hurricane has drinking water, flush toilets, hot showers and a playing field. Large RVs are not recommended. Each site comes with a lantern pole, picnic table and campfire ring. 

## Natural Features

The campground is perched along Hurricane Branch and Comers Creek, among colorful rhododendron. Several groomed, grassy fields unfold at the campground, but the campsites are nicely shaded by mixed woods of oak and hemlock. Hurricane Knob is nearby with an elevation from 2800 to 3050 feet. 

## Nearby Attractions

Hurricane and Comers creeks run through the campground and surrounding areas for wading and trout fishing. Additional fishing options and excellent hunting opportunities are available near the campground. State fishing and hunting regulations and licensing requirements apply. Hurricane Knob Nature Trail offers a brisk 1-mile loop hike and there is easy access to the Appalachian Trail within ½ mile. The entire campground has a relaxing, rustic atmosphere and an open field allows for games and family fun.

Discover this 52 acre creekside retreat located minutes from I-81 and I-77. We have 82 sites with 50 amp hook-ups with water and sewer, primitive tent sites and a new bath house with clean, hot showers. 

We are only 45 minutes from Galax and the Old Fiddler’s Convention, 30 minutes from Hillsville with the Labor Day Flea Market and one hour from both Bristol and Martinsville Speedways! 

Pioneer Village

Nestled between the Atlantic Ocean and the Chesapeake Bay are some of the best camping locations in Virginia. Near Virginia Beach, VA, camping by the beach gives you easy access to water activities that include catching a glimpse of marine life like sea turtles, sharks, and stingrays. The oceanside city is the ideal place to gather any supplies you need before heading to your campsite. Campgrounds by Fort Story let campers walk, boat, or drive up to campsites.
