ScoutI want to start out by saying I've been coming to Country Aire Campground for over 15 years. I truly love this place for many reasons. However, I recently camped there and that was the last time for me. Not only was the campground a complete mess, the employees were pissy about it. Like damn, it's not the campers fault. Don't take it out on us. We are your paying customers. Drop the attitude.Thankfully I brought a rake, and took care of the site.(You guys are welcome by the way.. gez!) I also believe that Lisa(office manager- she usually answers phones) needs to retire. She's getting worse and worse every year. She snaps at everyone for the littlest question or comment. Her customer service SUCKS! Country Aire supports Trump and tried to hide it. Upon my arrival on Thursday there was a Trump lawn sign on the property. Absolutely heartbreaking to see that, I disregarded it as I don't like to bring politics into everything. However, They literally moved the sign the next day. What the hell? Don't pretend. It makes you look even shittier than supporting that POS! There was an RV group there this weekend and several of them were also Trump supporters and were not shy about it at all.(Maybe that's why country aire left their Trump sign up to begin with?) The group was rude as hell. Just because you have a MAGA hat and a million dollar motor home does NOT make you better than the rest. As with any business, keep politics and religion out of it. You dont know WHO is camping at your campground. Nor do you know who you're offending. I'd love to continue coming to Country Aire but morally I just can't support this business any longer. It's a damn shame because I recommended this campground all the time. Tooooo many things went wrong this weekend and after 15 years I will no longer be camping at country aire.
ScoutWe (Tim & KIm) are spending our first season here, so far the experience has been wonderful. The owner is very nice and accommodating, responsive and helpful. We chose a site right by the river and were able to adjust it to our needs for our dogs and grandchildren. The neighbors have been very helpful and friendly. We did use the playground with our grandkids and it was clean and lots to do. Excited for the actual season to begin and to be able to use all the amenities. So far its been a great experience.
ScoutCamping on the Battenkill is truly a gem in the Green Mountains. Excellent location and quiet campground with Battenkill swimming and world-class trout fishing. It features, wooded, sunny and on the river sites. W/E/S is available at some sites and W/E at others(nearest the river) as well as tent sites. All these sites are very roomy/private, with pull-thrus available and back-ins. There are two newly renovated,immaculate bathrooms. A lovely well-maintained grassy play area and great dog area for play/exercising. The camp office/store has also been all redone and has a great mix of items/supplies. There are washers/dryers on the grounds as well as firewood and ice available to purchase. We are very happy seasonal campers. It is under new ownership and the new manager is just spectacular,Janet will go out of her way to be extra helpful and accommodating and friendly as well as hands on. Our site has S/W/E with cable and wifi, and is nicely shaded-25b. We are here May 1-Oct12, and sad to leave every year and anxious to return every spring! This is truly a lovely and pretty park. We camped at Camping on the Battenkill in a Fifth Wheel.

ScoutI have never"Camped" at a facility as lovely as Foolhardy Hill. Because this is definitely not a"roughing it" campground, I had to put it in quotes. The proprietors, Katie and Biddy, are the friendliest and most helpful people you could ever meet. I would strongly suggest a stay at this"off the grid" location because it is convenient, cozy, and immaculately clean. basketball stars
TravelerWe stayed late in the season during a chilly damp weekend and had the best time. We were right on the pond, so the kids could fish whenever. Lots of hiking trails (the dogs loved it). Can't wait to come back next year and explore the lake along the hike.
