Well maintained and plenty of trails around the lake. Enjoyed two night here. Site 108
This was our first time here at lake Somerville birch creek. It was a great one. We stayed in old hickory loop. Lots of trees and plenty of shade. Short trip from Houston so we will definitely be going back!

We have a pull behind. We were very surprised at how level our gravel campsite was. It made setup a breeze. The loop makes backing into your spot easy. The wifi is decent. We have enjoyed the hiking trails down by the water and the playground for our kids.
I stayed there for 3 months in my 24 foot motorhome. They usually have a waiting list. Very nice park with mostly permanent residents. Lots of trees. River access. Bathrooms with showers, laundry room, fenced dog park, common areas with rec room, huge grassy area.
Nice, quiet and clean park! We were lucky enough to get a water front site perfect to launch canoe/kayak.
Was previously closed for renovations. RV and tents sites on very well manicured gravel pads. Facilities are super clean and very nice. Great playground fir the kids and several miles of hiking trails.

RV Park is very well kept. Nice neighbors too. Heated pool/hot tub look nice. Laundry facilities on-site are credit card operated. Landscape company works here once weekly. High volume of guests really require more than once per week trash removal...piles of trash near dumpster overflowing weekly…

• Cleaned BBQ grill and fire pit upon arrival.

We stayed equestrian site 4 which is a fairly private site. Moon was nearly full and the coyotes were howling all night long. All in all it was a nice small state park with great views of Lake Somerville.
This is the second time we have stayed here. This time was from Christmas Eve until the Sunday after. This place doesn’t disappoint. There are nice hiking trails. The lake views are beautiful. All the campsites appear to be very well kept. My husband went fishing for a bit. He didn’t catch…
I made the drive out after a UT game with three 17 year old boys. Only the bunkhouse was available, a funky wooden cabin with two bunk beds and a bathroom with a view of the lake. The guys tossed a football, hung out by the lake and forgot that there was no television in our cabin. Actually the…
Nice quiet clean well organized! Amazing dog park!
Well spaced spots. Fairly level pads with table, fire ring, 30/50 amp electrical, water. We didn't see any covered tables, but all usable spots had concrete pads for tables. Like a lot of east-Texas camping areas, LSSP was also devastated by Hurricane Harvey and is still recovering, but don't…
Stay 3 days without any problem or inconvenience. Everything clean and organized. Good service and attention to details. The only difficult is the road to get access.
All the pads are concrete and are for the most part level (2x6 under tires or less). Sites are pretty good size and come with a picnic table and overhead cover for it. Deer are everywhere. Has two dump stations on either side of the park. Lots of trees in the Deer Park area. Lots of full timers in…
