TravelerSolid location for a night or a whole weekend. There are several porta potties available and the sites are spacious. This camp is perfect for the fam as it can accommodate RV sized vehicles. Only word of caution is that the ground can get a bit muddy, so try to find something dry.
ScoutStaff was great! Fellow campers could have been better people. Way to many KAREN'S. We have 4 dogs. We did everything possible to keep them quiet. Including buying muzzles. We worked with the rangers and staff to get the furtherest away from people. Because of barking. The closest people was a block away. The other campers complained!! Maybe the complaining people should have bought ear plugs!! We did everything possible in concirsation of other campers. The night ranger was not friendly at all. 10 pm he pulled up to tell us to make sure we keep our dogs quiet and to keep the fire down. At that time 10pm everyone was in bed. No one had a fire the whole 6 days we were here. It was like building a fire was illegal. That's how the ranger made me feel about a fire in the fire pit.
TravelerSite 22 has a slightly declined slope and is right next to another site that is a pull through. It is also right next to the main road for the park. Vehicles drive relatively slow due to all the speed bumps.
There are tons of deer at this park. Our dogs picked up ticks every day, and we had a few as well. Watch out for lyme and other tick born illnesses. We unfortunately found a bullseye rash from one of the bites. This means the deer are carriers as well.
ScoutWe stayed overnight in May 2025. Booked one of their hammock/tent sites for car camping and it was delightful. The covered deck with picnic table was ideal as it was raining lightly. Bathrooms were best we’ve seen at a KOA. Recently renovated and definitely a cut above.
TravelerOnly stopped for an overnight, so didn’t explore very much, but this is a very nice campground with large sites, hookups, a playground and friendly staff that’s still at work (6:30 pm as i write this).
ScoutCumberland Mtn. S.P. is a beautiful park, all interactions with staff were friendly and pleasent. Be advised that if you arrive after 4pm as per checking time posted on the website, the office will be closed. Talking to the wonderful staff I found that numerous requests have been made to have the site updated but has not happened. Also, our opinion was that many of the facilities could use a little love, the bathhouses are dated and in desperate need of renovation, and during our stay were void of any cleaning. Even the presence of spider webs and eggs around the windows spoke of neglect in proper cleaning. The park does offer wifi for those wanting to stay connected however for us it would continually go off line and have to wrestle with reconnecting and signing in. Overall it is a very nice park, just in need of cleaning and a little TLC.
ScoutGood place to camp parking is a little difficult, especially if it’s raining a bunch as the ground is very soft. Luckily we have 4 x 4 so that didn’t deter us too much but our campsite wasn’t level. We were only there tonight so it wasn’t a huge deal. The camp host was amazing and very helpful. We would definitely stay again.
