COE Cordell Hull Lake Salt Lick Creek Campground

This is one of my favorite campgrounds. Spaces aren’t too close together, the lake is nice, and everything is well kept. There is no cell service so it’s a great trip to take if you’re wanting yourself or your family to unplug and relax.

We had an amazing relaxing time at this campground. The grounds were very well kept. Check in and out was simple. The lake was beautiful and plenty of spots that on the lake.

This is a great campground. We love it here. We’ve been here three times now and will keep coming back. The staff is friendly and engaging.

This is a beautiful campground. I really liked that sites were not too close together. Fair warning there is no cell service.

My family stayed in the woods loop of the campground and I loved it! The site was perfect! This is a perfect spot to just hideaway for a bit!

I stayed here three nights in my RV. Also, this was my first ever camping trip in my RV or any RV.

As others have said, no cell for the most part. I have Verizon and I was able to send and receive messages for the most part.

The bathrooms and showers were clean, as well as the entire area.

To take full advantage of the area, have a boat, kayak or some form of water craft/fishing gear. If not you find yourself with nothing to do like me. If there were bike trails I couldn't find them. I think they start at Defeated campsite or something. If I go back, I will have some form of watercraft.

Of, it gets chilly up there to. The day I got there it was 70, rain came in and temperature dropped to the 30s. In late April.

2020 was our first year camping and we loved salt lick creek camping. The camp ground was so clean, and nice. We would recommend this place to anyone.

This COE campground is great.  We were in site 68 and had plenty of room.  The site had plenty of space, level,  and fairly easy to back into.  the only downside is that the site did not have sewer hookup.  There was no cell phone coverage on ATT network.

Let me start by saying that we are BIG fans of TN COE parks. They are inexpensive, clean and generally very pretty. This one was no exception. Exceeded our expectations in every way. The sites are large, varied and very private in a lot of areas. That said, we started at site 18, which looked great on paper. And it was adequate but situated on an inlet with mucky water. We took a walk and found an empty site (45) with breathtaking views. We asked to switch and they were happy to oblige. It was worth unhooking and re-hooking. We went from a sewer hook up to non sewer and it was STILL worth it. See pics. Another bonus was the immaculate beach/swimming area which our dogs loved. Only downside was the non-existent WIFI and no satellite. Not a huge deal to us. We read and had uninterrupted conversations! Nice to unplug now and then!

We stopped for one night at Salt Lick Creek, passing through on our way to Colorado. Our site was right on the creek and very near the beach. We went for an evening swim and we had a picturesque view of the sun setting over the mountains. This campground is situated perfectly alongside the creek in the mountains of Tennessee. The creek sites have less privacy. If you prefer wooded secluded sites, this campground offer those as well.

Great size sites. Many with waterfront property and others totally wooded. Shower house had amazing water pressure. Very clean and quite considering that all 154 sites were full. Campground has its own boat dock and plenty of parking around it. The only negatives I would say would be is that there are only two bath houses so you will almost have to drive to them. There are several restrooms scattered around the grounds. There is absolutely no cell coverage for any carrier at the campground and about a 30 minute drive in any direction. Also no stores around as well. There is only one gas station within 30-45 minutes that have ice and firewood. Make sure to bring everything you need.

This is a great out of the way campground. Room to spread out and enjoy nature. Better have a dish network or something like that, because there is no tv, cell, or wifi service in this park.

This is one of those spots you can really get away at. It's a long drive in, too the point your not sure your on the right road, lol. The phone service is spotty at best, which i love but the seclusion and views are great. It's really a hidden gem thats all by itself. Great wildlife viewing, great fishing and all around a great campground. The bathhouses are a little spread out but that's because your pretty spread out. One of my favorite places.
