ScoutWe stayed overnight in May 2025. Booked one of their hammock/tent sites for car camping and it was delightful. The covered deck with picnic table was ideal as it was raining lightly. Bathrooms were best we’ve seen at a KOA. Recently renovated and definitely a cut above.
TravelerOnly stopped for an overnight, so didn’t explore very much, but this is a very nice campground with large sites, hookups, a playground and friendly staff that’s still at work (6:30 pm as i write this).
ScoutCumberland Mtn. S.P. is a beautiful park, all interactions with staff were friendly and pleasent. Be advised that if you arrive after 4pm as per checking time posted on the website, the office will be closed. Talking to the wonderful staff I found that numerous requests have been made to have the site updated but has not happened. Also, our opinion was that many of the facilities could use a little love, the bathhouses are dated and in desperate need of renovation, and during our stay were void of any cleaning. Even the presence of spider webs and eggs around the windows spoke of neglect in proper cleaning. The park does offer wifi for those wanting to stay connected however for us it would continually go off line and have to wrestle with reconnecting and signing in. Overall it is a very nice park, just in need of cleaning and a little TLC.
ScoutGood place to camp parking is a little difficult, especially if it’s raining a bunch as the ground is very soft. Luckily we have 4 x 4 so that didn’t deter us too much but our campsite wasn’t level. We were only there tonight so it wasn’t a huge deal. The camp host was amazing and very helpful. We would definitely stay again.

GuideWhat a great State Park. Hiking. Bike Riding. Golfing. Can go on and on. Campground A & B are great for families with kids. C&D are more quiet. Pay attention to grades of sites when booking, you might need extra supports to level out. We are definitely going back in summer to get wet in the falls and creeks. Can’t swim in lake but you can kayak. Arrived in the dark, do not recommend as there are not much lighting to see especially if the sites is tight with others. Upgraded dump station all asphalt with 6 dumps.
