This is a very popular destination. So, the campground was pretty loud and crowded at night until the lights out call. The lake views with the mountains in the background are perfect. Tad cool in the evenings, which would be perfect in the hot months. We learned that the other campground loop…

Compared to some other state parks in SC, this one was less crowded and more peaceful. It had rained right before we arrived, and we got stuck in the mud trying to back-in our pop-up on a hill (lake campground #29). The campers all pitched in to pull us out. It was silent at night. Nice hiking…
This was my first time staying at the park, but second visit. This is one of the most beautiful places on earth. It isn’t as busy as the Smokies and I find myself more at rest here. The park has good to excellent facilities and is well maintained. In the park, you can swim, hike, camp, fish and…

Very nice host. Clean bathrooms. Our space was small but some are a good size. Dirt/leaf covered site. Many permanent residents so not the community of campers feel.
Hosts were super friendly and the campground was incredibly taken care of. We stayed at the techno site with a tent and were able to set it up on a fresh pad of mulch so we didn’t have to sleep on the gravel. The bath house was super clean and tidy. The campground was close to many hiking areas and…

Been here many times, always enjoy are time here, we've never had an issue at this campground.
Camping was fine. The general store has everything from meat to milk. We were literally right on the creek, love the sound of rushing water. The weekend we stated the pool was closed, the kids had a good time in the game room.
Good: close to attractions, along the French Broad River, greenway runs through campground, nice city park down road, concrete pads, decent size sites Bad: hard to get in and out of with large camper, poor water pressure, small dated bathhouse, along highway (but noise really wasn’t too bad)

3 1/2 hours north of Atlanta in Brevard, NC, the campsites are located along Davidson River, a beautiful trout river.
Spent another 3 nights at Tugaloo State Park. It is our happy place. Our campsite was extraordinary. Beautiful sunrise each morning and the weather was perfect camping on the lake weather. There is so much to do at this park or just relax watching the boats go by.

I actually had a better experience then I expected! This was my first experience with KOA and I had mixed reviews. Pros: Staff was super friendly, it was so nice to be assorted to my site at check and to have help backing in. I requested that since I have a pop-up camper and no bathroom that I be…
We camped one night and were glad to be close to Asheville where we ate dinner with friends. Hot shower much appreciated the next morning before we left, but a paved path to the bathroom rather than a trail through the woods would have been nice. The campground was navigable the night before even…
We stayed here for two nights. Campsite right on the lake. Quiet. Excellent WiFi. Mountain view. Would recommend!

I’d give it 4.75 stars if I could. It gets 5 stars for large sites with decent enough privacy, access to hiking and mountain biking, strict rule enforcement (you definitely won’t hear generators all night here!), good RV dump/fill station, and access to the town of Brevard which has a bunch of…
We have camped at Tugaloo State Park in Georgia on many occasions. It is literally around the corner from our home but we love to take a break and camp at this gem. Most spaces are on Lake Hartwell. They are clean and not too close together. The camp director puts on many fun activities for the…
