Clean and friendly

Clean and friendly. Easy to find. Across the street from NWC Farmers Market. We didn’t check out the bath house, but our neighbors did and were very impressed with the cleanliness.

Clean

We spent two night here. It’s close to the Biltmore estate, River arts district and downtown. Our site was level and easy…pull through. Most of the staff was kind and helpful. One was not. With this person I felt like I was putting them out if I had a question or a need. Abrupt and very cold. May you not encounter that one.

Pull through spots

This is good campground if you are staying for the night passing through, or if you came to see Asheville and you will not be spending a lot of time at your camper. There is not a lot of space to hangout around your camper outside, in the pull through spots. Hookups are nice and staff is friendly. Definitely not a “camping feel”, but we were there to visit downtown Asheville so it was great.

Good site

More of a view. Good area. Very close to Asheville downtown area- we Got an Uber. It’s not very “ camping” style.. so this was a good break from the woods. Felt safe here. Neighbors were nice

Good location. Sites close together.

Bear Creek is a super cute campground in a great location. It is close to all the things Asheville has to offer. Only drawback is that the sites are very close together.

Urban RV Park Close to Everything Asheville Has to Offer

We stayed at Bear Creek RV for a month and enjoyed being close to all things to see, eat, and do in Asheville.

SITES: Sites are close together. You can hear noise from the interstate, but after a while, you get used to it. Be sure to specify your rig size upon making a reservation as all sites vary in length. Some sites are 30amp only and accommodate only 20-foot trailers or less. Other sites are longer, and some are pull-through.

BATHHOUSE: 3 bathhouses are kept clean. The one beneath the office is the most recently updated (and pictured).

WIFI: Though the website says wifi throughout the park, the truth is it is not strong enough to reach the outer edges. So if your site is too far from the office, you won't be able to latch onto the wifi. The staff were apologetic about it and had an IT guy come out 3 times during our stay. Still, the wifi didn't improve so we would walk to the office and use their picnic tables outside to get work done.

WIFI The campground is shaped like a capital "Y" with some of the upper sites having a lovely view of the mountains. The pull-through sites are on the downstroke of the "Y."

POOL Though on the website it says the heated pool would be renovated by May 15 (the day after we arrived), it was not worked on during our stay. Hopefully, they get it redone for the Summer season as it would be an excellent respite from the mid-day heat.

LAUNDRY: 2 washers and 2 dryers are below the office for $1.75 per machine, per use.

Overall, a clean campground with friendly staff in a convenient location of Asheville.

Convenient location and clean campground

We only stayed here one night because we wanted to be close to downtown Asheville for a date night out. The Uber ride was around $12 so it was perfect. The staff was friendly and the campground was clean. The sites were a little close together, but that didn't bother us. We had great cell and wifi service and the laundry/bath house was nice. I did a load of laundry and have no complaints! The pool was closed for the season, but it looked like it was a nice size. They had a vending machine and drinks were only 50 cents - I haven't seen that anywhere in years! All in all - not tons to do in the campground, but a great location for exploring downtown Asheville.

Hilly campground

Very busy park outside of Asheville, NC. Great for getting in and out of town and enjoying the city but spaces were a little close together and the sites were all very unlevel
