No cable but internet is very fast. Cleanest bath house I have ever seen at a campground. Concrete pads. Easy access to camp. Lake city is a small town with lots of shops to visit.
This campground is very remote. I believe it has a camp store, but they close very early and were never open. Many of the sites do not have much privacy. We had to deal with neighbors coming in and setting up camp 12 feet from us at 3:30 in the morning with no regards to other campers. The bugs…

This was our second time visiting “The Mountain”. We enjoyed Site 1B so much from our last visit we decided to reserve the same site again. There was some trash from previous campers littered around the site when we arrived. Please don’t be a litterbug! This is a terrific boondocking site and one…
This park is great having large sites and great trails for mountain biking.
Campground is located near very busy rail road. Trains go by every few hours and are very loud. There is no laundromat or gift store. You are not allowed to have a fire. Big sites, full hook up and reasonable prices. Campground is located in the same place where there is an event center. During our…

Lee State Park is a simple park. Check out the artesian wells and other nature spots. Bath houses were well kept. Only drawback would be this park is an equestrian park so you will most likely encounter flies during the warmer months. Sites are better than some state parks we have visited.
Camped here mid-April and had a blast. The hiking trails are well marked, and feature some interesting views and slightly more challenging climbs. We rented a canoe and a kayak and paddled around on the pond. Lots of other campers over the weekend, but thinned out by Sunday evening.
We stayed deeper in the woods at the site named "big pine peninsula". The hike in from the parking spot was very easy so we packed in some extra water. The site was so quiet. I slept like a rock, just the cooing of an owl to lull us to sleep. There were plenty of cut paths to wander on and we also…
Site 34, Outer loop.
Bathroom clean, but Grade C.
Great walking trails. Just too crowded with sites, especially the inner loop, on top of each other. Lots of kids on bikes. The roads in were no problem.
We stayed in lot #15 a couple weeks ago, and it was beautiful! Peaceful and restful is how I'd describe our experience. https://youtu.be/6SeEVzQGUN0
Crowded. The camp ground is definitely crowded. We got lucky and had no one to our left and a very quiet and considerate neighbor to our right. You don't always get lucky like that though! We also didnt realize our site backed against an open field. It appeared to be maybe a gathering spot, had a…
Wow, this place is nice! Beautiful setting up on Lake Wateree, Plenty of Campsites and very reasonable. So Much to do here, They have a swimming area, Fishing area and a dock for boating. Great Place to meet new Friends.
The bathroom/Shower house is always clean! I love Wateree State Park.
Good views and boat access. It is relatively small and reservations are difficult to get.
We stayed here April 2-4. We mainly stayed here because it’s only an hour and a half from Charleston, and read some good reviews.
If you are coming from the south, be advised that once you are off I-95, you will see zero stores or gas stations, so plan accordingly.
The road going into the…

Have waited six months into our RV life to start reviews for fair comparisons. Spent four nights. This was our first stop and one of our least favorites. Rough “roads” inside park with big ruts that filled with rain, horrific mosquitos (and we’re from SC for a baseline). Having the horses around…
