TravelerThis campground has a few tent campsites near the office/shower building but a great number of remote sites up on the side of a mountain. 4WD required due to steep inclines and rough road conditions. Each site had a picnic table and fire ring and some shade during different times of the day. Fireworks were an issue the first night because it was 4th of July but other nights it was quiet.
Management was mostly absent and check in was easy. Tent site selection is first come first served. Manager did pick up the phone to hear my complaint about fireworks (midnight) but shooters were coming from outside of the campground.
Lot of cabins and RVs But I didn't see any pull throughs.

ScoutA wonderful campground run by friendly people. The sites are on level cement pads which makes set up easy. It is on a steep hill, but the camp hosts escort you to the site and help navigate your camper in if needed. We are new to camping so this was helpful. Sites back up to the woods. They also have a great camp store for any little things you forgot or keepsakes. Highly recommend this campground and will return!

ScoutMy wife and I stayed a couple weeks ago and had a blast. We arrived and immediately met Pebbles (My wife's favorite of the Highland cows). She was the sweetest cow and allowed us to pet, take pictures with her and of course feed her. We also spent some time with the other cows and loved the experience as we interacted with them and all of the other animals, including the new sheep that recently arrived. The camp site was way more then expected. Large tents on a platform, with everything you need to camp and enjoy the campgrounds and pastures. Full bathroom onsite, great ponds to enjoy.
GuideVery tight between rigs if you’re in a 30’+ rig. Water pressure and hookups have worked great. Beautiful area. There was trash in our fire ring and the picnic table at our site should probably be put out of its misery. Perfect Starlink connection from our spot and pretty likely to get it pretty well from others.
TravelerThis is a beautiful park, with lots to do, and in close proximity to the endless supply of activities that can be found in the Greenville area.
The campground was quiet and well shaded. Some of the sites needed a little rehab and weren’t very flat. The bathrooms were definitely older, but very clean.
All in all, we enjoyed our stay and will probably stay here again!
TravelerDecent spot if you're passing through but staying long isn't bad but not the best. Depending upon what time of year there is a lot of rain, lots of bears (I had my tent ripped open by a bear at least once/ possibly twice or vandals) and there is absolutely no service. Wash creek is accessible at most campsites but not all. Lots of morning mountain bikers and late night drivers so privacy is limited. Dispersed camping is more limited on the Brevard side of the Pisgah forest but I recommend checking that out first if it's not a hassle, if you can't find a spot it's a cool area to see regardless, wash creek is more like a park
