Great campground

First off, I will start by saying you have to drive a good amount of distance to get into the campground and that is something I really enjoyed! Made me feel super secluded and disconnected from the outside! The bathrooms and showers here were in really good condition, well cleaned and stocked, and…

Good Family-oriented Campground

This campground is a good campground to go to if doing all the things is what you’re after. There is so much to do. A splash pad, a lake with rentals, several playgrounds, hiking nearby, disc golf, and lots of activity. The campsites themselves however are fairly close together and open with…

Father’s Day weekend

Stayed on the full hook-up North East loop (incline or decline into some of the sites, well spaced). Cleanest state park bathroom in all of MD! Activities included: the town of North East (15min away), loop hike to the Turkey Point Lighthouse at sunset, and hanging out on the Elk river…

This Camp site has a lot of amenities for the when family. The pool area is amazing, the whole campsite is amazing. Your children will love it, not a full moment. Will book again for the following month. Love this campsite 😊

Nightmare Hikers

The campground is not a far walk from the parking lot. Great tree coverage. Hikers take any trail instead of marked trails regardless of families camping in a private areas. When I made the reservation it was noted that hikers were not allowed on campsites. They should post this info for the people…

June Camping

Spacious campsite, although the closest water spigot wasn't working. Not a big problem as there are plenty of others. Bathrooms were clean. Showers were a little spidery but kind of expected at a campground. Ticks were very active on this visit be sure to remember your bug spray and tuck your pants…

Had a great time!

Nice weekend at a new-to-us campground, August 2020. Each campsite has a firepit/ring, picnic table, and lantern hook. Privacy depends on the campsite, some have more trees and plants than others. We chose a corner site to hopefully have less interaction with neighbors during the pandemic. We…

Well maintained campground and facilities. Lot of trails nearby, though some of the trails are shared with motorized vehicles/bicyclists.

All you need...

Our go to State Park for camping as it is pretty close to home. Standard State Park with all the amenities you need. We are tent campers/ non electric (no pets/ no kids). So we don’t need much other than some privacy. Some sites are closer together than others though. Decent bathhouses. Town of…

  • View from inside our tent. (without the fly over)
  • Little Bay great for fishing right by the loop when you walk a few feet of the trail
  • No one to the front of the tent which is nice. Closest neighbors are to the right of the tent.

Loved until...

Three years ago, we fell in love with this campground. We knew we had to find an rv and become seasonals. Fast forward, we bought one, went to talk to them... They only allow seasonal campers to be 10 years old or newer. Ours is 13. Very disappointed. But for a weekend away, it's a great place. A…

Camping Gem

The park was easy to find and located a short distance from the highway. We were met at the entry gate with a personalized folder containing lots of helpful…

Good size site. Plenty of room to park two cars. Firewood available for purchase at the park office but you have to make sure it will be open depending on your arrival time.
