Best Tent Camping near Damascus, PA

The camp is set up in a “blank slate, parking lot” type style, with a big field, center for tent camping or to be used for sports or other activities. There’s a “lazy river” at one side and a small RV village on the other, and tent sites with water or dry tent camping. Restrooms are available with hot and cold running water, showers and toilets.

We used to go here all the time. This season there are people living in RV’s in the tent camping area for the full season. That’s no problem, but their outside light decorations really are. The last time we were there, it was so bright at night from the lighting decorations that we didn’t need a flashlight to get around. I am seriously not exaggerating at all. It’s a beautiful campground with a lovely little river running through it. I really hope that the owners reconsider allowing all of the outside light decorations on the RV’s in the tent camping sites.

Private, clean sites, washrooms were clean, staff was awesome, can't say enough about this campground. Cabin/tent sites separated from RV sites.

I ended up arriving 25 minutes late. I drove through 45 minutes of heavy thunderstorms. When I pulled up, the counter girls ride was being passive aggressive obviously mad that I was holding her up. I tried my best to be in and out quickly. The counter girl was fantastic and sweet. I had a primitive site, waterfront. It was a great spot, but there was no obvious spot to park. Also, the routes through the campground were riddled with potholes, and the route through the tent sites was a giant puddle. The bathrooms were great and the place felt comfortable and secure. But not all the tent sites had a picnic table. Otherwise it was a very relaxing site by the water.

Great campground! The owners were nice and helpful. Firewood was reasonably priced as were showers (25¢ for 5 minutes.) Tent sites were nicely leveled with fire rings and picnic tables. The view was incredible! We will definitely be back!

Been camping here for 4 seasons. The management is very helpful and willing to help with even the smallest of requests. Great for RV and tent camping. There’s a pond stocked with 2-3 types of fresh water fish. They offer seasonal camping and a game room with a small general store.

Wooded private sites, some right along water. Basic state park setup, modern bathrooms, tent camped, nice and strict about bear policies. Borrowed a kayak from a friendly neighbor and really enjoyed exploring the small pond. Easy trail around pond too. Good place to stay and spend a weekend taking it easy or while you do other things around this area. Ranger was especially nice & helpful.

Family friendly campground with many activities incl. playground, games, karaoke, bingo nights etc. the tent sites are spacious each with own picnic table and fire pit. Toilet and shower buildings are clean. Very friendly owners on site selling firewood and all other necessities in the little onsite shop. Can recommend this nice little spot in the Poconos

Keen lake is the most cleanest friendliest family environment campsite you will ever find. Beautiful lake great fishing. Activities all day long for the children. Great general store that has everything in it that is open from sun up to sundown. The nachos and ice cream are the best. Super friendly staff. It's big they have tent sites right along the lake the lake is huge there's so much I could say but I would run out of room. I started coming here when I was four and I am now 46 years old and it is just the best place ever. It will always have a special place in our heart. Look forward every year to coming here no matter what age my kids are they all have a blast. From tent sites to RVs to cottages to glamping you name it they have it highly recommend it. Recently went camping to somewhere a little bit closer to home and it's nothing compared to here. It's like comparing Macy's to Walmart. You will never regret coming here. So pack your family up and have a great time.

We’ve been to So-hi a couple of times - the RV sites are great - everything you could need not too close to your neighbors, wooded, and plenty of washroom facilities. There are some nice lakes and the wooded tent camping sites are gorgeous - nestled at the back amongst little streams. The “extras” - playground and fishing, have seen better days and could do with a fix up but our 6 year old loved them anyway. Nice people good place.

Only place still run like a family campground should be run. Wonderful owners. All campers were kind. Very quiet place at night. I stayed 4 days and it was great. Yes I did have to mail a check for my reservation. Most of the sites are seasonal and there are very nice tent sites as well. Bathrooms and campground were very clean also. I will be returning to this great place.

This place is right on the river and the freeway! So it’s kind of loud the people are super friendly and had fresh vegetables and home baked goods available. There’s always snacks. All the sites are full hook up I’m pretty sure . They used to have tent sites but no longer. The river is very pretty and I didn’t spend enough time to explore. It’s close to convenient stores.

A bit off the beaten path for a KOA, but nearly sold out in early October nonetheless. Sites range from typical large rig to dispersed tents next to a creek. The tent sites with electric like the one we took used 240v 50A plugs, so we had to borrow a converter plug form the office for our 120v equipment. Only one bath house and it’s a bit dated. Very pet friendly including a dog play pen. Pool looked nice and was still open in early October.
