Several RV campgrounds within driving distance of Blodgett, Oregon offer year-round accommodations for motorhome travelers, ranging from coastal resorts to inland RV campgrounds with full hookup sites. Blue Ox RV Park in Albany provides full hookup sites with 50-amp service, featuring meticulously maintained grounds and big-rig friendly spaces. Thousand Trails Whalers Rest in South Beach operates all year with spacious sites that include water, electric, and sewer connections. Pacific Shores Motorcoach Resort near Newport caters specifically to RVs with full hookups and 50-amp service in a coastal setting. Seal Rocks RV Cove offers year-round camping with full hookup sites that accommodate larger rigs, positioned with views of the ocean. "The spots are wide and long, very clean and not only do they have full hookup they also offer pull-through sites and cable TV," noted one RV camper about the region's parks.

Seasonal considerations affect RV camping availability throughout the area. Most coastal RV parks remain open year-round but fill quickly during summer months, making advance reservations essential from June through September. Cell service varies significantly between locations, with inland parks typically offering stronger connectivity than coastal sites. Free dump stations are available at select state parks, while most private RV resorts include on-site dump facilities with their nightly rates. Pet policies are generally accommodating, with designated dog areas at many parks, though leash requirements are strictly enforced. One traveler noted, "We had to back in to the site very creatively and carefully in our 26ft class C. I'd imagine some of the huge 5th wheels would have trouble managing in some of the sites." RV parks closer to I-5 provide easier access for larger rigs but may experience more road noise than those on secondary highways.

      Tillicum Beach Campground

Small, a ton of RVs and trailers

This campground was fully booked from the time I was looking- starting in July, my stay was in October- so I took my chances on a same-day spot. I got very lucky and was able to get a tent spot on the water. It was very small- barely enough space for my 2-person tent next to the fence, and the fire pit and picnic table was right next to the car parking space, so zero privacy there, but I was just grateful to be able to wake up to a beach view. The bathrooms were clean enough, and the hosts were fine, though gone for most of the day when I arrived so I had no way to pay without cash. My biggest complaint is the number of trailers parked in prime tent spots. My neighbor had a trailer on a reservable tent site- one of the best sites on the grounds- and spent zero time on the campsite and all their time in the trailer. They also behaved in an inappropriately hostile way- I had my headlamp on as I was putting food and gear away in my car at around 8:45pm, and because they were sleeping in their trailer, which was parked in the a parallel parking spot where all the cars were parked, my headlamp and car light apparently was shining into their trailer window. Instead of being patient, they started flashing a very bright light at me from inside their trailer, and then banging on their trailer sides. Mind you- these people were easily in their late 60s, acting like antisocial children. Their behavior made the next morning very awkward, and could have been avoided if they hadn't been allowed to park a trailer in a site that was clearly meant for tents- that they didn't actually use once, because all of their eating and cooking and sleeping was done in their trailer. I just wish this campground had rules regarding tent sites from trailer/RV sites. Their site was huge, with multiple tent sites, a wide view of the beach, two fire pits with plenty of foliage around for privacy - and they didn't use anything but the parking spot, and were aggressive with me for spending my time outside in my site.

      Blue Ox RV Park

Very nicely kept RV park in Albany,OR 2 minutes off of I5 N/S. 30 minutes from Salem, 20 minutes to Corvallis. Firm rules keep this park quiet, tip top and clean. This sites are close together, level paved with limited established foliage. The park offers laundry and indoor pool for campers. The staff is accommodating and friendly. We would recommend this RV Park for a stopover or extra nights for launch point to access the surrounding area. There is an RV repair center directly next door if problems arise and acres of soccer/softball fields adjacent to the RV park if you travel either kids or pets that need to stretch their legs.

      Baker Beach Campground

Stopped in for a night. Nothing fancy but did the trick. Cheap wood nearby, up the road with the big mushroom. Used the fire pit to cook dinner. Generators are definitely allowed as some dude ran his all night… bathroom was clean considering what it is.

      Namastay Right Here Coastal Haven

Jessica was extremely responsive, warm, and very accommodating :). The Sublime site is spacious, beautiful, and private. We planned for 2 nights and extended to 3rd because we were having such a great time. Our 25’ class C RV was a little tough to get up the site due to tight steep turns. Exiting the site was much easier.

      Waterloo County Park

My dog and I were attacked here. Park Host admitted she should have kicked them out

It would be 5 stars if it was not for my experience. That should never have happened. Park Host admitted she should have evicted vicious dog owners. $2k vet bill, I have a broken pinky that is still open and they wanted to do surgery on. No supervisor has called me. Barely an apology. So if you want to take those kinds of risks. Also they DO NOT honor online reservations. They allow people to stay who are not paid up and take sites that have been reserved online. Management needs to step in! This could be a 5 star park if managed at all. What happened to my dog and I could have been a child, killed. But they don't seem to care?

      Foster Lake RV Resort

Please explain how a resort is located adjacent to a noisy mill?

I lived in Sweet Home for 30 years. It's fun visiting in my RV, but this place is quite silly. Very noisy log trucks coming and going. Let's call a spade a spade and stop being silly.

Four pages of rules. They are terrified of being sued. So don't use the pool cuz you certainly can't have fun. Not allowed to leave your dogs in your RV is a big surprise rule. You should have ALL of your rules posted on your website. Not hard to find and a very small list.

I've been to lots of RV parks now. You are just like them. I would think a resort would be quiet, peaceful, room to spread out, and have a nice time. This is crammed, like everywhere. Very noisy. Uncomfortable to even try to explore the "resort" as there are many rules and signs posted everywhere. Reminding you what not to do. And cowgirl or cowboy? I'm just shaking my head over this stuff.

A real world look at what someone experiences here might benefit your customers but I'm sure you are raking the money in. So no worries. I cannot imagine how tourists feel when they come here. It is nothing like your website. I already knew but I thought people DESERVE HONESTY. NOT LIES. Not a resort. A park next to a very noisy mill across the street from a lake. No fires. No tables. No dog area except one which is camera monitored. Very uncomfortable place to be.

      Shamrock Village RV And Mhp

      Nice river, mid everything else

I called to reserve 2 nights & was told I would be at a full hookup site. When I arrived on a Sunday the office was closed and the papers they left had me at a site with partial hookups. When I went to resolve the issue with the office the next day they said there is no price difference between full hookup and partial hookup sites and told me to dump at a 76 ten mins away. Felt shady/scammy. No rates posted anywhere.

The electrical hookup and water hookup were about 40 feet apart. You will likely need 50 feet of hose to use the water hookup.

The riverfront site was pretty, but my neighbors left dog poop all over their stretch of lawn and neighbors on the other side also left trash all over their site. No privacy and pretty noisy throughout the night. Bathrooms were clean.

Located in the Coast Range at approximately 250 feet elevation, Blodgett experiences mild winters and warm summers with yearly rainfall averaging 60 inches. Many campgrounds near Blodgett remain open throughout the winter months when coastal storms provide dramatic ocean viewing.

    What to do

Beach exploration: Seal Rocks RV Cove provides direct access to beaches with interesting rock formations. "Beautiful ocean and beach for walking and dogs too," notes one visitor who appreciated the pet-friendly atmosphere.

Crabbing adventures: Just 45 minutes from Blodgett, McKinley's Marina & RV Park offers equipment rentals for catching Dungeness crab. "You can rent a boat with everything you need for crabbing. They will even cook them for you," explains a camper who enjoyed this coastal activity.

Pool and recreation access: Several campgrounds provide on-site recreation during rainy weather. "We've been here a few times. It's always very relaxing. The facility is clean, there is a nice workout room, two lodges with store, pool and hot tub and mini golf," noted one visitor to Thousand Trails Whaler's Rest.

    What campers like

Convenient beach access: Most coastal campgrounds provide beach access paths. At Sea and Sand RV Park, "the Oceanside sites are all amazing. The place is clean, close to everything and well equipped," according to one camper who enjoyed the prime coastal location.

Clean facilities: Nearly every highly-rated campground receives praise for cleanliness. "The showers were immaculate as was the campground. Camp staff were friendly and helpful," wrote one visitor about their stay at Thousand Trails.

Brewery proximity: Port of Newport RV Park & Marina offers unique access to Rogue Brewery. "What a lovely location. On the Oregon coast with an on site brewery and bar. The Rogue brewery is within walking distance and it also has a restaurant," explains one visitor who appreciated this adult-oriented amenity.

    What you should know

Reservation timing: Most parks fill completely during summer. "We made our reservations almost a year in advance," noted one visitor to Seal Rocks RV Cove, highlighting the need for advance planning.

Site selection considerations: Many RV parks have significant differences between sites. "The campground is divided into a north and south side. We stayed on the south side with concrete pads that were nestled in between trees. We were here during significant rainfall and appreciated not being in mud," explained one visitor to Thousand Trails Whalers Rest.

Internet connectivity: Cell service varies widely near Blodgett. "Beautiful campground just across from the Ocean. We're listening to the surf right now. Heavily treed but able to get good Starlink reception with download speed around 200 Mbps," noted one tech-savvy camper.

    Tips for camping with families

Activity planning: Several campgrounds offer kid-specific programming. "We love the Whaler's Rest. So many good areas for kids to play and the staff really does a great job planning activities for the whole family," shares a parent who found the organized options helpful.

Entertainment options: Premier RV Resort in Lincoln City offers multiple recreation areas. "Very well looked after place with a nice newspaper delivery in the morning. Reception has this cosy communal area with kitchen, living room (books dvds games TV) clean showers and spa (hot tub), clean laundry room," detailed one visitor.

Educational opportunities: Newport offers access to marine education. "Newport is home to the Oregon Coast Aquarium - worth checking out while you're in town too!" suggested a family who combined camping with learning opportunities.

    Tips from RVers

Level site availability: Inland options like Blue Ox RV Park provide well-maintained sites. "Everything is paved, the sites have nice clean picnic tables, and plenty of green lush grass," noted one RVer about a nearby Albany location.

Site size constraints: Larger rigs should research specific sites. "The back in sites are narrow. There is a nice view of the ocean from most sites," explained a reviewer about Seal Rocks, providing useful information for those with larger RVs.

Winter camping considerations: Many campgrounds remain open but have service reductions. "We stayed during the rainiest five days I've ever camped...but still had a great time. We were able to bike to town and the staff was fantastic," shared one camper who visited during off-season.
