About

County

Welcome to Waterloo County Park, nestled near Lebanon, Oregon. This spot is a favorite among campers for its well-maintained grounds and a host of amenities that make for a comfortable stay. Whether you're pitching a tent, parking your RV, or looking for a glamping experience, this park has got you covered.

One of the standout features here is the hot and strong showers, which visitors rave about. It's a luxury you don't always find in campgrounds, and it makes a big difference after a day of hiking or fishing. Speaking of fishing, the park is situated along the Santiam River, a popular spot for anglers. You might even see a few folks casting their lines as you explore the area.

For those traveling with pets, you'll be pleased to know that the park is dog-friendly and even has a dedicated dog park. It's a great place for your furry friends to stretch their legs and play. Families will also find plenty to keep the kids entertained, from a playground to a disc golf course.

The campground is divided into two loops: A Loop, which is more suited for smaller campers, and B Loop, which can accommodate larger rigs. Both loops offer electric and water hookups, and there's a sanitary dump station on-site. Firewood is available for purchase, so you can enjoy a cozy campfire in the evening.

Activities abound here, with options for hiking, swimming, and even geocaching. The park also features volleyball courts and large areas for group gatherings. It's a versatile spot that caters to a wide range of interests.

Overall, Waterloo County Park offers a blend of natural beauty and modern conveniences, making it a great choice for your next camping trip. Whether you're here for a weekend getaway or an extended stay, you'll find plenty to enjoy.

Waterloo County Campground

Great campground with hookups and active camp host. Firewood available onsite. Nicest restrooms and showers I’ve seen in any campground! The A Loop is more for smaller campers while the B Loop is better suited for the big rigs. Lots of activities including hiking, geocaching? Fisk golf, volleyball, fishing, swimming, and children’s playground and dog park. ADA handicapped accessible campsites available.

Not the best place we stayed!

Not one of the best places we stayed but it was ok for the few days we were there.

The sites are ok but could use some "TLC!" The one park host does the best he can maintaining 50+ sites. We did have someone get into our truck and steal some money out during the night. (I know, should have locked the truck, but to know people are wandering around looking in vehicles is not a good thing. Some say local "tweekers" are in here a lot. ARGH.)

It does offer things to do such as, swimming, fishing, hiking (walking) , just watch out for poison ivy and raspberry vine thorns, bike riding and a great Disc Golf course.  There are large places for group gatherings as well.

It's ok, just use caution. That's all.

Great county park on the river!

This is a great weekend location with Sweet Home and Green Peter nearby. This is also a great “first park.” Of you’re new to rv’s, this is a great place to try out the set up- all of the sores are in very good condition and easy in and out.

Lovely county campground

We loved this place. Well maintained sites, showers, disc golf course. There is grass, trees & concrete pads. And a senior rate was $23 for an electric/water hookup!

Quiet with Lush Forest and Lawns

This is a Linn County park located just a few miles southeast of Lebanon and northwest of Sweet Home off the Santiam Highway.  The park is located along the Santiam River and apparently a good fishing spot as we saw several people fishing.  There are hiking trails in the woods and also a Disc Golf course.  Hook-ups for Electric and Water only, but they have a "waste water" (gray water) disposal every few sites where you can pour any gray water.  There is a sewer dump station located in the park.  The sites are spaced out nicely and the park is very quiet.

Nice for a day

Waterloo is pretty open and has some bike trails and some parks and a pretty great disc golf course! The water is really cold but perfect for a day outside or a picnic with the kids!

So much fun!

I have visited this park on and off for over 30 years. Great place for kids and adults and pets. Play area, fishing ramp, camp sites and plenty of car or RV parking. It's located right on Willamette river and has great fishing. Barbeque areas and covered seats. Bathrooms are fairly well maintained. Waterloo store is long time land mark not far from park with all your needs including worms and firewood. There are smaller park areas with bbq and play areas around main camping area as well. I would recommend locking everything up though, just my personal tip. Year round fun.

Waterloo County Park

Campground with something for everyone! Right on the river for swimming or fishing. If you drive up the road, you can float down the river to your campground! This park even has a disc golf course to enjoy while you camp. There’s a park area with a playground for the kids to play. Spaces are large, and nicely spaced out.

Pretty camping

Campgrounds are a little ways outside of Lebanon where we were able to get camping supplies at their 24 hour Walmart. Cute little town but not a big tourist destination. Campgrounds were fairly nice and had a woodsy feel. Nearby hiking includes McDowell creek falls where there are a couple of medium grade hiking trails that can be muddy. The falls are quite beautiful and worth a visit even if you’re not into hiking since most of them even the bigger ones are accessible with just a short walk down Wooden stairs or viewable from the parking lot (be careful the stairs are quite slippery) bathrooms located on site.

Dirty and not well maintained

Rangers did not seem to manage the people visiting here and many seemed to be homeless. Lots of trash debris and broken facilities.

Great little spot for a family get together and overnight stay ... On the river good fishing... but be aware... current is swift.. swimmers seem to get in trouble every year here ....

Big park spread out.

This place has it, a dog park, play disc golf, hiking trails, fish, with ADA fishing deck, boat launch, playground, and two camping loops. Loop “A” is reservable and Loop “B” open in summer as first come/first serve. Please note there is a water hazard for boater and swimmer down from camping area. Has sites with electric and water, and those without. Does have a dump station, and bathrooms with showers. Has a few sites set up for ADA. There is only one site with 50amps the rest is set up for 30amp.

Lots of Space, Lots to Do

The small bit of driving you have to do to get to Waterloo is well worth it - what we have here is a spacious, friendly campground with good nearby attractions, including a moderately raging waterfall, disc golf, etc. There are 120 sites, with over a mile of frontage to the healthy South Santiam River. You can see all your neighbors - the big downside - but there's plenty of space between the large campsites that also lends itself to lots of walking, ball throwing, large gatherings and for friendly conversations for those so inclined. This is your big chance to grow your outdoor ecstatic dance club.
