Portland-Woodburn RV Park

SUMMARY PRESENTED BYT-Mobile

Parking lot or campground? At Portland-Woodburn RV Park, the honest answer is somewhere in between. Set directly behind the Woodburn Outlet Mall with its own private entrance, this paved RV park sits just off I-5 in Woodburn, Oregon, functioning primarily as a highway stopover and longer-term parking spot for rigs up to 60 feet. Full hookups with electric, water, and sewer service are standard, and the on-site amenities include laundry, showers, a pool, and WiFi.

Sites are level and paved, but space is tight. Multiple reviewers flag the crowding, and drivers towing a vehicle should expect to unhitch and maneuver carefully on exit. Freeway noise carries into the park at night, something Asia Z. noted directly: "Little had to sleep with the freeway sounds." The tradeoff is genuine convenience. Grocery stores, gas stations, restaurants, and the outlet mall are all within walking distance, making this a practical layover for travelers moving between Portland and Salem.

The park draws a mix of overnighters and full-timers, and staff and cleanliness receive consistent praise across reviews spanning several years. Pets are welcome. For travelers who want a more traditional camping experience, Champoeg State Park, Oregon provides a natural setting a few miles north, and Flying J Travel Center — Aurora is another no-frills overnight option for those prioritizing a quick stop.

Guests frequently mentioned excellent facilities and friendly staff, though some visitors expressed disappointment with cramped sites and I-5 freeway noise. Many mentioned it's ideal for convenient overnight stops near shopping and restaurants.

No Headaches

I’ve stayed here several months. They’re fair, keep the place clean, and nice to my my dog.

Community Park

We have been staying here full time since October 2021 and will be moving on in about a month or so. Many full timers live here but it's a convenient spot to park for a few days at a time or full time. On-site office, laundry, pool, full baths. There are several Specials during the month to include meals for a very inexpensive price as well as ice cream socials in nicer months. Terrific staff. Park neat and clean. Park sits right behind the Woodburn Outlet Mall with own private entrance. Off I-5 and convenient shopping for groceries or gas nearby. Close to Portland and Salem. We will miss this park!9

Perfect “one night stand”

The location is within easy earshot and access to I 5 freeway. Great for “I’m on my way to…” Note: Very cramped, I’ll need to disconnect the toad and perform multiple back and forths to exit.

Clean not quite

A good place to explore nearby towns. Little had to sleep with the freeway sounds

Convenience

Definitely not the worst RV Park our there. Decent size patches of grass between RV’s, conveniently located by numerous shops and restaurants, right off I-5 so anyone needing a place to crash or working nearby it works great.

Not Camping, Nice Park

Okay, this isn’t really camping, it’s more like parking in a parking lot so don’t have an expectation that it’s a camping atmosphere. That being said, this is a very nice place to get off I-5 and park an RV with all the amenities. You can walk to several restaurants and the outlet mall. There is a great laundry room, clean bathrooms and showers, pool, pet areas, and nicely paved, level, but crowded sites.
