Just what we needed!

Clean bathrooms and showers. Has a nice little market if you forgot or need anything.

mixed bag

We stayed here Aug 27. The site we were assigned (13) was either mismarked or or miss advertised. We reserved a hookup site. 13 was more of a vacant space next to an unmarked site with watrer and electric so we just setup there.

There seems like a mixed bag of folks passing through and some folks who appear to be living there in hard times. We could hear our neighbors arguing about money.

The sites are pretty close and not very asthetic.

The bathrooms/showers were ok.

We had good Verizon coverage but we tried the free wifi and it seemed pretty good.

I'd say this is a decent pull over place on the way through. Wouldn't personally want to spend much time there.

I did not see any sites with their own sewer connection. There is a dump station as you leave the park.

Great price, good vibe, loud road, bad showers

Good points: I think this is the cheapest campground with amenities near Ashland, only $27.50/night for a tent site with a water pump. The place didn't feel sketchy at all- although there are clearly some long term residents, it feels well-run and family friendly. Wifi was surprisingly fast and reached all the way over to the tent sites, and there is a place near the bathrooms to wash dishes. All tent sites were shady with large blackberry bushes providing privacy on three sides.

The not-so-good: the tent sites have a road right behind them that's often busy and loud. The showers in the women's restroom have unbelievably poor water pressure, and the water temp fluctuated from boiling to freezing for no reason unless you twitched the dial just right. Also, there's no place to hang a hammock near the tent sites but that's just a quibble.

Okay

Check in was fast and easy, drive in was beautiful. Campground was small and dusty. This was just a pit stop for us, so was fine, but would not stay for any length of time.

Great tent site

We were at site L and having the creek right alongside the site was awesome to listen to while going to sleep and waking up. We stayed for 4 nights. This site has a water spigot too.

Pretty darn good!

To balance the negative reviews: we were given a beautiful, shady site right on the creek. A bit of a homey vibe with passers- through and permanent residents side-by-side; a bit down at the heels, maybe, but only a bit, and the bathrooms were clean and well stocked. One of the quieter places we’ve camped! And a nice person in the store will make you a cup of coffee for a dollar. Only complaint was the person who smoked on the grounds. We would stay here again.

Great tent site

We liked that the campground was off the highway and very quiet. Very clean sites and bathrooms. Easy access to downtown.

Pretty but pretty odd

Lots of permanent residents in shanties. Odd folk walking about. Barking resident dogs. Cute site though! Creekside it was. Weather did rain on me all night and it was lovely. My tree had electricity and for that I was grateful.

  • Adorable site!
  • Cute creek!
  • Unfortunate site.

Undergoing Improvements

At highway 66 near Ashland this park has both RV and tent sites. The RV sites are full/partial hook up (30 amp only) and dry camping. Note though that even if you pay for partial or dry you will still need to pay $10/dump your tanks. We opted for just full hook ups here. The tent sites are near the creek.

There was some work being done that appear to be some upgrades. There is a nice pool area, a pond and the creek. The sites are level with picnic tables and fire pits. There are bathrooms, free hot showers, laundry, dog run, playground and store. Also available is propane ($3.50/gallon) book exchange and ice. Wifi was fast and free.

The road noise is noticeable but not too bad. Some of the spots can be close but for a night it wasn't bad. Pets are allowed on leash only but there were a couple of loose dogs running around so be aware.

NOTE: Google tells you to turn on the street (Neil Creek Rd) just after the park so if you have a big rig then turning around could be difficult. Keep an eye out for the campground and turn into it directly from the main road instead.

All the office and maintenance staff were friendly and helpful and neighbors were friendly and quiet.  We didn't get the tweaker vibe mentioned in some previous reviews. This place is cute - maybe there are new owners (who changed the name from Glenyan to Ashland Creekside, maybe?) who are trying to turn things around.

Good cell service ATT, Verizon and TMobile.

Tweaker trailer park

I will start by saying the front of the campground looks cute, the staff were friendly but the creek was ugly and poorly kept. Most of the trailers there were permanent residents. Trash everywhere. Power tools being used by "campers" (residents?) At all hours. Our neighbors constantly fighting. Ridiculous. Do not recommend.

Name change to Creekside RV? Had a great spot

I've seen some negative reviews about chickens running around and the full time campers with old rigs but our spot (45 and up) were great, in the woods and very clean. Spotty WiFi and cell phone ( T-Mobile) coverage.

Pretty nice place

Campground is really nice and sits across from the RV section more or less. Clean bathrooms, BBQ stoves, lots of space and green grass. Come here during summer and you can even go down the water slides which is like a 5 min walk away. Cell phone service is spotty with ATT. Lake is beautiful and is pretty much right in front of you. Definitely recommend!
