Peace, quiet and beautiful waterfalls

We loved this place. It is a hike-in campground so know that before you go, probably 1.5 mile hike so nothing crazy. Once there the sites are nice and cozy with decent space between you and your neighbors. The peace and quiet from being out in these woods was wonderful. Each site has a fire pit and…

My First Love

I stumbled upon Elkmont about 15 years ago and I completely fell in love. I’ve spent many nights under the Elkmont stars and imaging what it must’ve been like living in that small, mountain railroad town. All the history there and seeing what once were peoples homes has a strange yet intriguing…

Lots of Amenities and Close to the Smoky Mountains National Park

We loved this campground! Very nice and spacious sites. The campground was developed along the Little River and is absolutely gorgeous! The bathhouses are the nicest I have ever seen. The sites were level and had full hook-ups. They are renovating the pool and it looks like it will be amazing. It…

Nice quiet, rustic campground.

We spent 5 nights here in early June 2021. The campground is pretty well maintained, and quiet. Nice showers and bathrooms on the higher numbered loop of the campground. Right on a well stocked river. Most sites will be able to handle a small trailer (we have a 17') or a tent. Class B's are fine.…

Difficult to find after dusk but awesome spot for 4WD cars

We came looking for this campsite past dark and after a half hour of driving on a gravel road we gave up searching and just parked on the side of the road for the night.

In the morning we went hunting for the campground and ended up finding at least 10 campsites scattered throughout the mountain…

Just right, relax....

We stayed here for three nights and loved it!  Beautiful location in the Appalachians with trails and streams all around.  Lots of fine back country drives too; up to the Albert Mtn lookout on the AT and lovely waterfalls. Nice quiet campsites, we got lucky with site #78 and hope to return.

Great place right on the river but no Verizon coverage

Great place. Beautiful views on the river. Very clean. Large sites with really nice patios. Only problem is no and I mean zero Verizon cell coverage. Internet it’s OK to stream movies but I had to go to their coffee house for reliable WiFi when I was working.

Amazing location in the Smokies

We stayed for a week on an RV back in site. The sites can be soemwhat close together, but with this mostly just being home base, we didn’t find it to be a problem. Our oldest rented a bell tent, and when I say they are the cutest camping spot, I am not exaggerating. The bell tents sit on the river…

Most lots are unlevel

We really have enjoyed SC state parks but will never come back to this one. We had to move spaces because it was so ridiculously unlevel (other campers shared same experience). The only one we could get literally faced the street and had zero privacy. There is a full hook up area (rare in a state…

Crowded but Beautiful

While our site was not private, we felt like there was plenty of space. We were close to the creek and restrooms. We really enjoyed driving Cades Cove Loop, but plan on several hours to complete it. The hikes in the area are beautiful.

Very friendly and helpful staff

We stayed here may 9- 12, having to reserve in January I figured it would’ve been warmer, but we still had a great time - just didn’t get to enjoy the swimming hole. The grounds are well kept and staff professional. We stayed on site 9 right on creek , very scenic and sound of water was…

Awesome place

Love the staff there. They were extremely nice and kind. The kids loved it. Especially the polls. Bathrooms where clean. A little aged but not disgusting at all. For a mans standard it’s a 9/10 for my wife she said a high 7/10 for cleanliness. Had a power and water issue and the staff was quick to…

Cades Cove!

10 🌟!!!!!!!!

Cades Cove was amazing. Our only regret was we were only able to stay one night. The 11 mile loop was a great little drive.
We found it to be a very clean campground with close access to all the trails. Waterfalls you can play in, and every amenity I could imagine.

Loud but Beautiful

This is a very popular destination. So, the campground was pretty loud and crowded at night until the lights out call. The lake views with the mountains in the background are perfect. Tad cool in the evenings, which would be perfect in the hot months. We learned that the other campground loop…
