An amazing spot off the beaten path

What a great spot with a great host. It’s clean, well lit, appealing to the eye and in a perfect lockup the mountain just minutes from Bryson city. When I say clean I mean top of the line! The eggs are fresh, the fish pond is amazing and so is the horseshoe pit! Can’t beat it!

Spectacular year-round camping

Owner is extremely friendly and will help you back into the site. He is also very knowledgeable about the area and has great suggestions on things to do. Firewood delivered to your site as well. The facilities are great and continuous improvements are being done. The previous owners abandoned the campground for several years and the renovations that have already been done are great. Trout fishing pond on the property if you're hungry for a fresh caught meal. I'll definitely be coming back as soon as I can.

Concierge Service!

This is probably probably my favorite campground I’ve been to. The owner Jason was an immaculate host. He made sure we were well taken care of during our stay. My dad and I take an annual trout fishing trip the last weekend in March and we will definitely be making this our go to spot from now on. Can’t wait to return and see the progress that’s been made as the owner was constantly working on improvements.

Beautiful setting and very welcoming

We were vey pleased with our stay at Kirkland Creek.  The owner Jason and his wife Allison are warm and very welcoming.  The setting of the campsite is beautiful with a creek running past that was so soothing to listen to.  We were there only two nights so we didn't need to use the amenities or get to go fishing in the trout pond.  We were not towing and instead of unhooking to go into town, Jason took us in and picked us up when we called. That was an above and beyond kindness we hadn't expected.

Great Location

We had a great time at Kirklands Creek Campground. The amenities were great, location was fantastic and Jason (Camp Host) went above and beyond to make sure our stay was very pleasurable. We will definitely come back.

A nice little surprise

My family and I found this on Dyrt. It is such a peaceful place off the beaten path. Owner was very kind and helpful. Bath house was clean with hot water. My kids loved meeting his pets and watching the trout. We stayed in a tent site on the creek, and it was lovely. Definitely planning a longer stay in the near future!

Solitude in the pines

Friendly camp ground with a helpful staff. It is off the beaten path and a few twists and a bridge will get you to a quite and peaceful site. Clean bath and wash house, WiFi a little limited from office, but I could get signal at front of our site 19. Trout pond is a site to see with 2+ lb fish. Full hook ups available, site is gravel, I gave a 19ft trailer, pool is drained due to virus. 1 bar signal with t mobile. Would stay at Kirklands Creek tomorrow if we could.

Over the river and through the woods

Awesome little campground away from what seems like everything else, but still 30 mins or so from Bryson City. The staff was superb and extremely helpful. We pull a 36ft trailer and the road getting to the campground is a little tight in places, but with their help I was able to get right where I needed to be within the campground. Awesome creek running through the place with a trout pond as well. Can’t wait to see what the owners do with the place in the near future as they just purchased it in September.

Pleasant surprise

My daughter and I were looking for a campground in or near Bryson City to reserve last week. Very nice and peaceful campsite for RV or Tent camping. We thoroughly enjoyed our night there. It’s kind of tucked into the hills off the beaten path. Nice family operates the site. Definitely recommend.
