Better than advertised!

Visited for 2 nights but ended up staying a couple more. Tent pads are well maintained, facilities are kept clean, and everything was really easy to access. The N.O.C. is minutes away as is Bryson City. Great getaway! Staff is super chill and friendly. Sandy was very helpful. Thanks Turkey Creek!

Cute off the beaten path, at a good price

Smaller camp grounds, that best suited for smaller campers, or tent camping. The driveway coming into the campground is steep, so drive slow, and I would highly recommend showing up before dark, not an entrance I would want to make after dark. They have affordable firewood and ice on site, free coffee in the office, and Wi-Fi. Currently I’m using the Wi-Fi from my spot, since cellular service in this area isn’t reliable. Make sure you download a google map “offline mode” map of the area before coming, since service is limited for ATT and Verizon. If your doing tent camping, they made these elevated large squares out of crushed gravel to put your tent on, that are perfectly level, and with the gravel, should stay dry in event of rain. Some of the spots have “river” access, I would call it more of a small creek, but still nice. All the gravel roads seem to be in great condition. Washer and dryers are available, and showers and bathrooms are way better than average.

Well kept campground near outdoor activities

The wooded property is clean and neatly trimmed with new tent pads of crushed stone. Campsite is less than a 15 minute drive from the Nantahala Outdoor Center and the AppalachianTrail, and even closer to Lake Fontina. Nearby activities include white water rafting, hiking, kayaking and canoeing. There is firewood onsite for $5.00 per bundle and ice for $3.00 per bag. They provide a fire pit, picnic table, water and electric hookups, but not sewer. Also, there are no grills provided, so plan accordingly. Also, the comfort station (bathroom, showers, and laundry) is at the top of a very steep hill, making middle-of-the-night bathroom trips difficult. But all the facilities are impeccably clean, well stocked and well-maintained, and provide benches and hooks for belongings while showering.

It was easy to book and the staff is friendly and helpful. They even switched us to a larger pad to accommodate our large cabin tent. Office hours were 8-12 and 3-6, so again, plan accordingly. We went the first week in June to view the synchronous fireflies. We enjoyed a very pleasant stay and would definitely stay with them again.

Convenient and clean

We booked a stay last minute and the owner provided all the info we needed. Conveniently located between NOC and Bryson City.

Bathrooms were some of the best we have ever used in our years of camping. Would recommend for non-outdoorsy friends that are not comfortable peeing in the woods yet.

Excellent campground near Tsali

Be sure to reserve far in advance, as this is a very popular campground! Great sites, and a short drive to Tsali Rec area. Biking, hiking, horse trails, as well as lake access. Observe the trail sign for proper access. Unfortunately, they alternate days for user groups for bikes and horses.

Beautiful and convenient

Such a beautiful location with access to many nearby attractions. Ramelle is so so sweet and took great care of us, as first time trailer campers and gave us the “best” location, right on the creek. It really was the perfect location for our little family. The bath house is super clean and she has taken many safety precautions to accommodate COVID concerns. Can’t say enough good.

Great location!

Mike and Ramelle are great hosts, people, and campground operators! They share their little slice of heaven with everyone. Perfect place for rent camping with great bath facilities, plenty of firewood, and close to Fontana Lake, NOC, Bryson City, and GSMNP. I’ve stayed here about 5 times now and always here locals and visitors speaking of how good the camp is. Highly recommend it!!!

Rustic with all the necessities

This campsite has water and electric available. There is a camp store with the essentials and firewood available for purchase. Bathrooms are really clean. The sites are moderately sized with some trees for privacy. The open field lights up with fireflies at dusk- its like a mini fireworks show. The owners are friendly and laid back.

Hidden gem near lots of activities

Family owned and operated, have RV sites that have electric and water only, but have a dump station on the way out. Has tent sites and hammock spots for the ultimate outdoors experience. You will fall asleep listening to the bubbling creek running through the campground. It has a nice trail down to Fontana lake and near Smokey Mountain National Park and the NOC if you enjoy Water sports like white water or a little fishing. Run in to Bryson City and enjoy a train ride on the GMS railway and see some of the beauty of the southern Appalachian mountains. Enjoy
