Spent two nights there. Campground is county run so the park ranger regularly patrols, making it feel safe. Also, a couple of local county sheriff deputies stay there too. There are several playgrounds for kids to play, along with an open field by the lake. Site are shaded by trees. The bath houses…
First time camping with my family . We had a tent with electric and water ( only $10 more ) . So worth it because we can use our heater and anything else we needed eletric or without having to lug around the generator . Bathrooms were very clean and everyone was so friendly. Great experience!
Very well maintained, spacious campsites. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Not much to do in surrounding areas.

This was a last minute weekend get away. The website says first come first serve when you make your reservation for an RV site. When we arrived Friday afternoon, they told us that they have a set spot for us. We get to the site to discover it backs onto a construction area where they’re putting…

Close to I77 ample space, cable available ,electric service tested good o n 50 amp, and pizza 🍕 delivery available.
Fun for kids... good prices ...staff could be alittle nicer
Subpar; seems to cater to long term residents. For the 3 pages of rules and regulations I was expecting a pristine campground; what we found was a half paved parking lot and our lot was on a hill side which made using our full hookups going up hill. No fire pit! Must provide ur own, rules state…

Really like this campground. It is clean and generally well maintained except for a few branches along the road that can use trimming. Sites are narrow. but have a nice gravel surface. Great connectivity with Att and Tmo. Plenty of OTA TV channels.
According by the rates I was expecting an actual resort. But not even close. 90% of the sites are occupied by permanent campers. The staff don’t take care of the other sites at all. Ours was small and dirty. We’ve been for 2 nights in a row (so far) and both nights were very noisy because of two…
We tent camped on Aug 28. This was our first time setting up on a platform and it was very easy. Our site had a great view of the beautiful lake. There was a pool our kids could swim in until 7:00pm. They let us borrow a metal fire pit so we could make s’mores. The restrooms and showers were very…
This campground is wonderful. The entire park is. Lots of great hiking and things to do!
The only downside is that everyone else seems to know how great this spot is, and therefore it can be very crowded
We have been coming to this campground for seven or eight years. We’ve camped here as tent and rv campers.
The campsites tend to be spacious and wooded- perfect for privacy and hammocks.
Once we were tent camping here, and woke up to a herd of deer on our site! There were seriously 10-15 deer…

You can purchase Carowinds tickets right here and ride a shuttle all day long to the park rather than fight traffic. They enforce the rules really well so quiet time is actually just that. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Cabelas, Walmart, and other shopping is nearby for supplies as well…

Always a great getaway from the bustle of city life. Day use area can be packed in the summer but they have plenty of rules to keep the park beautiful and orderly. The camping side has scattered tent and group sights with some large wooded RV sights and clean cabins. Bath house is very well kept…
