Really Nice

A really nice smaller privately owned campground that still has all of the perks. Pool, clean bath house, ice, fire wood, etc. Bordered by a spring branch and just a mile from Clearwater lake access. Has several cabins and one RV for rent. Tall pines and cottonwood trees throughout. Owners are…

Trees, Lake Access, Biking, Hunting, Fishing, and Bow Range

This campground is close to home for us, but we love it as a quick get away.  It has beautiful, tree-covered campsites that offer direct access to the lake.  The sites and facilities are well kept and clean.  Full-hookup sites don't have any tree coverage, but the electric/water sites near the lake…

Nice

Easy access, many spots, bathroom that locks, with shower. A loop of camping spots surrounded by trees. Nothing to complain about. People were friendly.

  • Trail that surrounds the lake. (watch out for spiders!)

Good for a night while traveling

This is a good place for a night while on the road. The staff were great! They have a pool & plenty of activities. They do pack you in like sardines. And the bathrooms are not handicapped accessible. I have some mobility challenges, the door to the bathroom is on a VERY tight spring, there is…

Kansas gem

Awesome location and beautiful surroundings. Loved our site - lots of shade, big picnic table, & right next to playground. Beach was in great condition. The whole family had a great time.

Campground Too Close to the Railroad Tracks

Most KOA campgrounds I have been to are exceptional with great sites for all types of camping. However, there are a couple of them that have one or two sites that leave you scratching your head. We were supposed to camp at site 18, but it was not level and had tire ruts all the way to the back of…

Great for family and group trips

Had a hard time finding any place open for memorial weekend. We settled on Bloomington East. Most lakes in the area were flooded. And Clinton was no exception. My site was a muddy mess but I just joined up with a friend and we used a his single site for both our teardrops. Not quite as quiet…

Small Campground, Fun

There are not a lot of campsites, which is nice. Makes it easy to get around without traffic. Very clean place. Hosts spend a lot of time cleaning campsites between each visitor. We had a ton of fun walking around the old mill and visiting with the historian working the visitor center. There are…

Great family campground and awesome dog park!

It’s not the best I’ve ever been to, but it’s a as great family campground with beautiful views. We travel with two adorable rescues and appreciated the awesome dog park where they could run a bit. The restrooms are adequate and clean. Views are beautiful as you will see for yourself. Would…

nice but needs upgrading

the staff are friendly and the lake is nice .

the sites are old and not very level and difficult to maneuver. Lots of seasonal campers but it could be a 4 star campsite with some upgrades .

Quiet grounds

Super easy gravel road to get in in our AWD Subaru Outback. We were the only campers there. A truck drove through numerous times, which felt a bit creepy but may have just been a ranger or someone checking on the grounds. Beautiful, open area on a lake and not far from main road.. There's an…

Okay Campground for Tenting

Campground is great overall, with a walkable trail just past the showers, clean restrooms and easy to access sites. There are only 3 basic tent sites, making it hard to nab. #4 had a decent amount of privacy, however most other electric sites do not. As an electric site, there was not a lot of…

1st trip of summer

Stayed at this Koa for 1st time. Was escorted to my campsite. Friendly, and very helpful with getting wood, and turning on tv. Cute and quiet place, place felt safe at night.
