    Weston Bend State Park Campground

    Great, quite large camp sites

Great please to camp, not to crowded. Got busier on the weekends, empty on the week. Nice showers and toilets, laundry. Campsites were large, many had a good footprint enough to set up a large tent. We have a 20’ round yurt and had plenty of room. Lots of hiking trails in this park, some paved. Nice lookout point. Dog park was nice, well gated and taken care of, had water station for thirsty dogs. We spent 25$ a night for a 30amp electric site. Campground was well maintained. Only minutes from the historic town of Westin, amazing parks, lots of pubs and little restaurants. Nice place to walk around. I would camp here again.

    Camp Branch Campground

    Great place to camp.

During the camping season this campground has nice large shower houses and clean bathrooms. They sell ice and firewood at gates. Pleasant campground, very nice lake. I camp with kids from infant through 18 and hot showers and decent bathrooms are a must for us. Close to Smithville Missouri.

    Weston Bend State Park Campground

    Quiet setting

Weston Bend is less than half an hour from our home, but at the same time, it seems a world away. We enjoy camping there to get away from routine and responsibilities and simply hang out at our camper. The campground is wooded, generally cool, and peaceful. All camp spots are well-shaded and nestled within the woods. It's easy to take a quick jaunt into Weston for wine-tasting or exploring it's quaint shops. Or you can hike or bike in the Weston Bend park and check out the nearby Missouri River from the park's overlook.

State Parks are the RVer’s Goto

Another great State Park campground! While some amenities are lacking, no full hookups, many with power only, no pull throughs, it’s the dispersed nature, and is the nature. Clean large sites many on the water or with water views. Great spot.

    Great Campground near Smithville Lake

Very nice campground and we’ve stayed here several times without any problems. The hosts are great too. We’ve stayed at sites in Loop C improved which have water and 50amp service. We have Verizon cell service and had no issues.

    Crow's Creek Campground

A clean campsite on the lake

I was looking for a decent place to camp near Kansas City during the weekend and found this spot on Smithville Lake. When I camp, I typically do it while on vacation and checking out a national park. This obviously isn't an experience like that. This was the first time I've camped over a weekend in years.

The campsites are very spacious and there are even places with covered picnic tables. The bathrooms are also clean. If you're not the most adventurous type, you'll like this campground.

The thing I enjoyed most about this campground was the trail around the lake. The trails are fairly low traffic and there wasn't too much noise coming from boats on the water. It was a peaceful location to camp and enjoy views of the lake.

Overall, I recommend this as a quick place to go during a weekend if you're in the area and feel like camping. I probably wouldn't stay here for an extended period of time.

    Crow's Creek Campground

    Not a bad place

We went for our first trip and they advertise restrooms. When we went to use them they were all locked except for the ones at the far end of the property. The ranger patrolled ever 45 minutes and often parked in front of several camp sites which felt slightly intrusive. Not much privacy. It was a very clean place though which was nice. And plenty of wood to pick through along the edge of the woods. It's got a nice playground for kids and looked like plenty of hookups for rvs. I don't feel it was worth the full price though.

    Crow's Creek Campground

    Nice weekend stay

This was a great place to camp. I camped with 5 Kids and it was fun and clean. The only complaint that I have is the spots are a little close and they don’t have much privacy

    Crow's Creek Campground

    Spacious and quiet

This campground has all the amenities you could want for a campground with electric and water hookups as well as showers to wash off after swimming in the lake. Camping usually costs $20 and swimming at the beach is $5 per a car. Lots of biking trails going around the entire lake as well as playgrounds in the different areas. I grew up at this campground and its always been a good time.

    Crow's Creek Campground

    Close to water

We have stayed in this campground too many times to count. We love it when it is still kind of off season like Easter weekend and after labor day. We have small children and it can get pretty rowdy during the summer. We have chosen to go to other campgrounds during peak season. The have a section with just electric where you are right on water and can leave boat right on lake. They have water and electricity on hill no lake view but nice to have water hookup.

    Crow's Creek Campground

    Nice Campground

There is plenty of trails for walking, hiking, and bike riding. This is a nice campground that offers basic, and electric hookups. The sites don't have water at each spot but they have filling stations spread out. Each loop offers something different with the view. The shower houses are nice. The dump station offers 4 campers at a time.

    Crow's Creek Campground

    Great spot for lake views.

This was my first time renting an electric site. We stayed in Loop F, site 345. Crows Creek is a nice campground that has Great Lake views.

We stayed in March and didn’t realize that only Loop G had working restrooms (so be mindful of that when selecting a site off season). The sites (with electricity) are a little close, but it’s manageable.

The loops all have a paved trail that goes for miles, perfect for walking dogs. The campsites are nice and clean and it was easy to level our pop up.

All in all, it’s a great campground.

    Crow's Creek Campground

    Love

Sooo many things to do!!! We love taking our horses to Crows creek, there is an amazing barn with stalls and it’s withing viewing distance of your camper/tent so you don’t have to worry. Trails start directly from your campsite, you can also take your bikes, paved and mountain bike trails. You also can’t forget the wonderful lake and the beautiful views.

    Crow's Creek Campground

    Mixed feelings

The camping area is nice, most things are well maintained and staff was really nice. Think if we visited during summer our experience would have been better.

We stayed in October and due to unseasonably cold weather they shut off water with no notice and halfway through our stay. Ended up leaving early since we had no water and also no sewer at site.

    Crow's Creek Campground

    One of the best!

We camped here in June 2020.  We had a nice RV site with electric.  The best part is the view of and access to the lake! So beautiful and relaxing.  We had a nice gravel site with fire ring and picnic table. We could walk right down a grassy hill to the trail along the lake.  We had lots of grassy space around us to set up and play yard games. Trails and roads within the campsite are paved, so it's great for bikes and scooters.  Grounds are well maintained and grassy areas feel fine to walk through and play in.  Nearby area beaches to play at, a playground, and a short drive to stores to get anything we forgot! We love this beautiful place and will return!

Cons: the full hookup sites don't have a view of the lake. This is why we chose an electric only site and used a spigot in the campsite to fill our tank.
