Grand Lake O' the Cherokees RV Resort by Rjourney

    Well Run Campground

Cedar Oaks is a very easy campground (CG) to find and get into. We did not have a designated site number but had requested back-in site 90 on the lake or a pull through from 64 to 73. We got our first choice and after an easy check-in we were escorted to site 90 and were assisted backing in. This site had a large lawn area due to site 91 being decommissioned because of flooding a while back. We enjoyed a very nice lake view as this site is probably the best site in the park. The site next to us, 89, was very near on our utilities side, but 89 still had some lake view. There is no cable TV here but we got a good variety of OTA channels. We got 3 bars on Verizon and the park WiFi was average for a park this size. There are permanent and seasonal residents here plus dedicated transit/short term areas. Most sites in this CG have a shot to the southern sky if you want to use satellite. There are two small fenced dog areas but plenty of room to walk your dogs. There is also a bathhouse and boat launch plus slips. This was our second stay here and we would stay here again in the future.

Peddlers RV Park is nestled on the Mark Twain National Forest just 2 miles north of Roaring River State Park. We are an all breed, dog friendly park. We offer 30/50 amp electric service on all sites along with water and sewer hookups. We also offer free Wi-fi to our guests.

Other amenities include a gameroom, an 8 swing gazebo with a 6 ft firepit, 11 acres of hiking and onsite laundry facilities. Ice, firewood and snacks are also available for purchase.

Being a smaller park, we offer a more intimate setting for the discriminating camper. We invite everyone to come visit us and start making memories that will last a lifetime.

    Roaring River State Park Campground

    Great sites, great sights!

Lots of river-side campsites, choice between wooded or open areas, pit latrines or flushies, and standard or electric sites. There are groop camping and cabins. Heated bathroom is available. On-site showers and laundry, RV Dump stations, and a store that offers fishing and camping gear, souveniers and a small selection of food. During the summer, swimming pool is open. Roaring River State Park is home to a Trout hatchery and the river is stocked each evening with trout for fishing the next morning. Sites have fire pits and picnic tables. Handicapped campers will find an accessible site with a large, flat concrete pad, accessible restrooms, and an accessible fishing area.

Bernice Area — Grand Lake State Park

    Grand Lake

Nice quiet campground on Grand Lake. Spots are spacious on back-in concrete pads. Each spot has 50/30/20 power, bbq grill, fire ring, picnic table and light on the power pole. There are flush toilets and hot showers in the bathrooms. Reservations are easily made online. We had a spot near the water with a nice view of the lake. I had good 5G cell reception with Verizon.

    Joplin KOA

    Nice enough

Clean and well maintained KOA. Friendly personnel. Shaded, pull thru sites as well as back-ins, cabins, and tent sites. Sites are very level with crushed stone pads. Good water pressure. Lots of grass. Patio sites are available. Internet is poor, as typical of most RV parks. Cable tv with about 30 channels. Good stopover park.

    Big Red Barn RV Park

    Good facilities for groups

This park has level, pull-through shaded lots and a quiet location. Our group used the rally barn for meetings, and their fire pit for the evening, which were bonus features. The camp host made cinnamon rolls for us on Sunday!
