This was our first camping trip of the 2021 fall season and first visit to Interstate State Park. We booked far in advance and were able to secure a river view site (Spot 30 in the North Campground). Our spot was spacious and had a great view.
Despite the campground being pretty full it was…

My husband and I picked this spot to try out our new camper (and puppy) for camping and it’s been a lovely place to stay. It’s a normal KOA setup but the staff is wonderfully sweet and the amenities are clean and reliable. Close to lots of state parks and hiking opportunities.
We stayed here one night and part of the next day. We camped in the older Ochegie campground (site #1) near the historic native village site and trail. There were few people camping so it was quiet. We called the office as no one had been staffing it when we arrived. The ranger was very nice and…

Good campsites. Good spacing. Great view of River and close to trails.
Vibe: Busy state park on the weekends, but the campground was calmer. Lots of families and young couples. Not very friendly. Someone stole our firewood while we were away from our site.
General spots: Good size, good spacing, some…

Perfect little camper cabin and site. Fabulous park staff that even turned the heater on for us before we arrived. The cabin has electricity, heat, no plumbing. No cooking inside, wonderful fire ring for cooking, which we used at night.

Just a nice quiet campground and the sites are fairly private. Lots of hiking and close to the river for some kayaking etc.
This is a small campground with the St. Croix River on one side (pretty) and Highway 8 on the other (a bit noisy at times but not terrible).
Sites aren't very private and you're rather close to neighbors but it's a relatively quiet place due to the small number of campsites. They have a mix of…

Site was great. Good shade cover, room for 4 hammocks and a small tent. Closer to other sites than I was hoping but overall a great oasis less than an hour from Minneapolis.
I absolutely love this campground. You have to walk upstairs to get to it, but there were quite a few campsites as you walk along the hiking trail. Each one has a fire pit and a picnic table, and you could probably fit three or more tense at each site. We were there in June and there was only one…

This park has a ton of camping available, particularly if you don't need electricity and have a smaller rig because then you can get into more of the campground loops. (There is electricity here, but there are many more sites without.)
The sites in the Old Logging Campground were close…

We went on a Monday so there was Just a few others. It was very peaceful. The lot we picked was big and on a hill. It was very clean and well maintained. We picked this spot as we had dogs with and liked that there was a row of trees where we could tie them away from the fire . Would be a GREAT…
This a nice family campground. It has a 9 hole mini golf, shuffleboard, salt water pool, and a lobby/gift shop. They also offer a nice seating area for those hot or raining days with free arcade. Verizon cell coverage is good here and OTA TV has a few channels. Staff here is very nice and always…
Lucky for us we were there during the week. Very quiet and nice, we were right on the river. Dirt sites which made for mud when it rained. Great pool. Ride to 3 hour tubing right back to the campground
