Can't Wait to Go Back! MUST Stay Here!

We are a full-time traveling family (2 kids - 8 & 13) and 2 English Bulldogs. We have a Class A motorhome and flat tow a Jeep. We stayed here in June for 11 nights in site B6 and loved it! Owners Matt & Jamie are wonderful and we left feeling like we had stayed at a friend's place. Our site…

Noisy and crowded

The campground is beautifully maintained and clean, with lots of pride of ownership. Nearly all sites are occupied with seasonals, right on top of each other. So it's like camping in a small city with a few trees overhead. The sites are close enough to hear every word of every conversation and…

Quiet campground, on beautiful golf course.

Rick (the owner) is very accommodating, plenty of full hookuo sites and also another section with just W/E.

Second stay

We tented for two nights mid-week in 2020 and booked the cabin for Memorial Day weekend 2021. I thought we might like it less completely booked but that wasn't the case. The owners are quality people, the seasonal folks are super nice, the facilities are lovely. The weather was cold and rainy but…

Great

I’d give 5 stars but only 4 since the sites are nice but not much privacy. Facilities are clean. The sites are a short walk/drive down to the lake and it is beautiful there. I would hear loons in the early mornings and go down to watch the sunrise. It was packed when I was there but overall quiet…

Rustic Campground on a majestic lake

Stayed here after looking around for a get away weekend with a friend to go adventuring and looking for fishing locations for the future.  At first impression this campground looks a little old and unkempt, but our stay was nice and all the people we interacted with were great.

They have a…

Great Campground

Older campground. Sites are a little close to each other, but they're very long. Great pool, fun rec room area (we learned how to play shuffleboard!) We were the 2nd tiny house there!

Really loved the scenery....canoe around the lake, visit 1Big Sustainable island. Lot of tent sites on the water, we had #24, with loud family of 6 children 10’ away. Friday night 3am train is loud. Sunrise on the water beautiful, which gives this site an extra star

Remarkably beautiful

We stayed there 1-4 September 2020. Zero bugs beyond a few basic house flies. Breathtaking water views and well maintained grounds and facilities. Many sites were on waterside of the beautiful lake-ours included. We were the only campers without kayaks or canoe— felt like we missed a golden…

A little loud.

If you want to ride ATV trails, fish and swim in the Kennebec River, ride mountain bikes on the Kennebec rail trail this is a great place to stay. The down side is the truck traffic on the nearby roads. The campground is near an intersection so logging trucks slow and accelerate nearby starting…
