Super Cute Campground

Enjoyed our stay here! We stayed for 2 nights and thought it was a good deal for a full hookup site! Very pleased with our stay here! We had 2 bars with AT&T as well. The campsites are very close to each other with little privacy but the value outweighs the cons of that.

Great place for the stars and horses if you want

We stayed here in August and found the new owners to be wonderful. They really care and are upgrading many things. They were also super flexible for our star gazing needs. The new, free hot water, showers were a treat. Close to so many things here. We will be back.

Quite stay on the river

My wife and I stayed for 3 nights in late June. New campground and new owners. Bathrooms and showers were very clean and well maintained, a must on the list for my wife. We stayed at the far end of the campground on the river. Although there had been such little rain it was more of a stream, but non the less nice to stay on the water. I will say those tent sites are every close with very little trees separating the site. When we stayed there was no other tent campers. Ellis pond public beach is fantastic and only 10 minutes or so drive away.

All My Children

We camped at Lone Mountain Riverfront Campground with all our children and grandchildren and with our camping buddies and all their children and grandchildren. I believe there were 30 of us. The day before our trip Corrie ( the owner) called to offer to switch us to the water and electric sites because of the impending hot weather. We are so grateful because it was HOT and the bugs were bad in the field (late spring). We had the best time! Our families had started camping together 30 years ago, when our kids were little. The owners let us all stay together and our grandkids had fun riding bikes and playing in the river. Campfires at night and stargazing. The bathrooms are clean and beautiful. The river is pristine and safe for little ones. Tom and Corrie did everything g to make our stay memorable and comfortable. This our new FAVORiTE campground. It’s a new start up and the sites spacious and mostly grassy. There are water and electric $39. A night and there are sites along the river and under trees with no hook ups. There is also a fully equipped tent with bunk beds on site in a field. Beautiful location with beautiful people. Come check it out, but save a site for me!

We LOVE this campground!!!

My husband, two dogs and I came to Lone Mountain (with 6 other families) and had a wonderful time! Tom and Corie are absolutely amazing. The campground is fantastic. The bathhouse is clean and beautiful. The beach is so awesome, Great for small kids and adults alike.  There are so many options for campsites (power, no power, field, woods, even a Tentrr (?) to rent?) there are a couple of stores nearby if you forgot essentials. (And the stores were pretty great too) We can’t wait for our next trip!!!!

Tranquil beauty

This is a new campground and it is beautiful. The grounds and facilities are well kept, but not overdeveloped. We stayed with friends in our travel trailers. The sites are equipped with power and water in the upper sites. There are lush grassy sites some are in open field and some under trees. The river runs high in the spring and a little lower at other times. I feel the beach is perfect for my grandchildren to play in. They are developing an equestrian area and a playground is in the future. The bathrooms are gorgeous with flush tolerance and private shower stalls. There is a dump station and water. The owners are very welcoming and accommodating. There is a lovely diner just up the road that serves an amazing breakfast. Come check out this campground.

Peace and Quiet

We spent the second week of May at this lovely campground. It’s a campground in its second year. The owners and the nicest people. There are hookups: water and electric available on some sites. There is a dump station with water. The bathrooms and showers are new and beautiful. There are tent sites under the trees and a little beach along the river. They do have a cabin tent which is fully furnished in the field. This is an equestrian campground as well. Pets are welcomed. There is plenty of areas, caves and hiking trails to explore. There is a diner down the street that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Appalachian Trail runs through this area. We look forward to spending a week here in July. Come and partake of all this beauty in Andover, Maine. Check out their website. They have 30 & 50 amp power available. We were in a pull through site. We really appreciated having hookups!
