This was nice because you could see the water from the site.
It was a short jaunt to toilets/showers/potable water and everything was surprisingly clean.
Nearby was a beach that was small but cute and a cool lighthouse you could go up.
There is a camp store that had all the basics and ice and…

I went with a friend for two nights, and we camped and had a blast. (It rained for one of the days and it was pretty thick tree cover - so it wasn't too bad.) Hiked around the lighthouse, climbed on the rocks, tried crabbing (and failed) and went kayaking around the campground in the bay.
Good fishing and nice trails Nice campsites, some big enough for trailers. Bathrooms were very clean

We visited the day use area but drove through the campground for future reference. The campground offers a lot of sites (189 sites). 148 sites have electric and water. Some sites are monthly rental only. They also offer seasonal sites. There are 38 tent only sites as well. There are 3 primitive…

Great campground in the woods. The managers were very helpful and friendly! Pet friendly!
The staff are very friendly and super helpful. The seasonal tenets are also very nice. Very well stocked store and even some Turkey Hill Ice Cream.
The G loop for tents is nice and removed from the rv area, though the sites are a little close. There are trails nearby and you can cross the bridge to the canoe/kayak rental area, or launch your own from a dock at the campsite. We had a peaceful night and a fun kayak day!
Of note, there were a…
We decided to stay a weekend at Susquehanna based on the reviews on the Dyrt and it’s closer proximity to home. We arrived and were greeted by super friendly rangers who gave us the lay of the land. We found the rangers to be very knowledgeable about the area and the wildlife, plants, and trees in…
Quite, spacious sites, lots of walking trails and a large pond.
We enjoyed our stay here. There were some large rigs, particularly in the lower level, but the upper level has more shade and is better suited for rigs under 30 feet. The owners were nice and the grounds are pretty. Our space was really level and wide. Internet was ok and they ask folks to not…
As a single mom of two daughters, camping can be a bit scary at times. Our first time, first night here the couple at the next site has left their Dog wonder to use the bathroom outside our tent. The first time it happen my kids were terrified because it was pitch black and an animal just started…
I am currently residing at Shady Grove and I have to say I am impressed. The area is full of RVs but it's not congested. The bathrooms are clean and the showers are comfy. I never expected the bathrooms to be so personal. The owners are real cool and easy going. My campsite has an awesome picnic…
$20 to rent a kayak for 1 1/2 hour! Had a great time taking my son for a spin around the lake. The snack shop had burgers and shakes that were very reasonably priced!
We decided to still try out this park even knowing it was going to be hot and that the pool was closed (received email months after booking informing us of the close). Big mistake! Lots of bugs, small wet/muddy playground, and lots of hills which made it difficult for the kids to ride bikes safely.…
