Location is nice. But it can get packed quick.

Went up for some close Winter camping back in March. There was still a decent amount of people camping around us but it was super nice and quiet. Spaces are very private the farther back you go. there are 12 numbered sites spaced well apart the farther back you go. I have been here before in the…

It’s Ok

The sites are nicely spread apart for the most part. The only real issue is the seemingly continuous parade of ATVs. I heard from one of the Sheriff’s Deputies that an ATV rental outfit to the north is recommending people to go to Gordon Gulch. It made sense since there were a lot of helmeted…

Clean, serene, and green

This is the first time I've camped in Fall River Road and it is wonderful! Best part, FREE! With hiking trails, water(creek) and a beautiful camp site

Sweet Views, Road Traffic

Nice quick stay outside of Breckinridge. Pullouts are pretty tight so best for vans type camping. Maybe larger sites further up the mountain. Plenty of keep traffic, mountain and e-bikes. Enjoyed the views! Would stay again.

Camped during very hot weather. No shade!

We camped during very hot weather. Our campsite, like many others had minimal to no shade. The river is beautiful. Camp is clean, hosts very present

Blue lake weekend trip

The campsites are great, views are great! Absolutely no complaints. Maybe not the best if you’re looking to hike but one of my favorite car camping places I’ve ever been.

Large sites with good shade!

We stayed here one night during the week just to escape the Denver heat.

Pros: sites are large and most of them have good privacy/shade. About half the sites are right along the river. The bathroom on site was also cleaner than other campground outhouses.

Cons: the road is rough getting here.…

Beautiful location

We arrived to this site about an hour before sunset and lots of the spots were taken, however we did find a little spot right on the water. It was kind of sloped but manageable. The views were amazing and we loved being right by the water, however the only issue we had was the wind. It was…

Close to All RMNP Has to Offer

Loved being in the park and having easy access to all the park has to offer. Especially with the new timed entry requirements. However, Loop C in which we stayed was very tight between sites and the old growth pines have been removed and replaced with younger/shorter trees. Still enjoyed some elk…

Close to park with opening available

We Boon dockers, the site in the area were totally full. We had to get an auto part and was told of this campsite. I drove here and asked. Jerry was very nice and gave us a place for two nights. We were in the park where there are no hook up. We have solar and water so no big deal. Great views,…

Pack it out!!

This campsite offers many wooded sites near the creek. It is peaceful and beautiful. I have been twice now, and leaving trash seems to be pretty common. Once trash pickup is complete, the sites are simple and functional. Good flat spots for tents and plenty of trees for hammocks!! It’s a…

Great location 🏂❄️!

Perfect location if want to hit up winter Park resorts and arapahoe basin, keystone, or breck!! You can take 40 to winter Park in about 50 minutes. And then can take other highway down into silverthorne in 45 min.
Spaces are tight for most part, try to get a end spot if possible. Showers and…

Pricy But Great Spot!

With no traffic, it’s only about 6 minutes from the park entrance. There certainly is a lot to do here and I appreciate the bear boxes at each site. Very well maintained. My only complaint would be the cost (which I’m sure is the going rate around here) and the $2 coin operated showers. They have a…

The best campground I’ve seen

While some of the spaces are really close together, it still doesn’t feel cramped. The store is excellent, there is a trail right at the far side of the campground. The bathhouses are nicer than my bathroom at home and you’re so close to RMNP you can practically hear the moose bellow.

Road Closed

Road was closed June 5th so unable to camp. I'm sure its great given proximity to Winter Park but weren't able to camp due to seasonal road closure.
