Best campground in the area, $10/night

Direct river access, many good sites, full bathrooms, available water, easy to get to and quiet. Also an awesome camp host (Shawnee) who is the perfect mix of knowledgeable and helpful while giving campers space.

Quiet during the week, full on weekends. 24 sites, most are on the main loop…

Mc Cloud RV

Very clean and well maintained! My only complaint is the sites are way too close together!

Beautiful views of lake, beware of tweakers

The views of the lake were amazing coming down the dirt road to the campground. We came here expecting to see some clear waters and enjoy a quiet camp. Unfortunately this was not the case, the water was brown (which we didn’t mind) this didn’t stop us from fishing too.

But during our stay we got…

Beautiful area!.

Very nice area! Lots of shade. Small creek runs through and also a good size pond. Clean well kept park with plenty of amenities. Great walk with the dog. Little town of McCloud is cute!

Not accessible

The coordinates and GPS lead to a random part of the highway surrounded by hills. Not real or inaccessible in vehicle, lake may be dried up.

Trinity lake KOA

Stayed here over the 4th of July weekend. Campers were respectful of quiet hours and staff was mostly courteous. They charge for everything including an early check-in fee when we had to move sites due to reservation conflicts. Lots of children and some camp sites are on top of each other. The…

Trinity Lake

Check in was a challenge, staff was grumpy, even with a reservation. They have a later check in (3pm) but will allow early check in for $25 (nickel & dime?!?). There was no cell service. Correction to Dyrt description, wireless is only available at the KOA store.

Old School Cabin in the woods

Super cool spot right by the lake , they have it all here even a pool ! The jungle gym for the kids was sweet and a cool tree house … the kids loved it but it was a lil pricey .

The Lake was beautiful, the facilities were great. Fun for the whole family. With the canoeing, boating, swimming and the water bounce house. There is also the movies for kids w/ice cream.
