Terrific views and close to needed amenities. Shower and bathrooms very clean.
This is a well maintained facility. Friendly people. Close to Tucson. Cable and wifi. Pet friendly. Sites are close together but when we visited, we were spaced well.
Govt site $20 night unless you have pass, then it’s $10
Campground is somewhat exposed to wind. Trails lead out from campground to canyons and peaks. Clean pit toilets, no water. There's a horse corral with four pens. Road up is dirt/rock -- could by tough with snow/rain. Several stretches are one lane with occasional turnouts. Wind was very strong so…
Had a great experience here. We all enjoyed the super nice pool & hot tub.
They also had a neat cactus garden to walk through.
Shuffle board available too.

This is a great campsite for tent or campers. It has great access to the lake and the fish are almost always biting. Bring the kids bikes so they can explore a bit and enjoy the sunsets.
This USDA Forest Service campground is a very nice one. Nicely laid out sites, well maintained bathrooms. It’s easy to walk to the lake from the lowest tent sites. We stayed here in fall, and imagine it’s heavily used in summer. There’s a great trail around the lake. $20 as of November 2020.
Super cheap. The sites and restrooms needs some tlc. We were the only ones in the tent camping area which was a plus. This campground is good if you r doing tours in the day or just need a trip to get out.
I want to give this place 5 stars but not having a natural water source and locking the gates at night don’t get ya 5 stars 🤓 ...I understand their reasoning behind locking the gates however; bad humans out there that come in late at night and trash the place and don’t pay the measly $7 a night to…

We had a great time here over the weekend. The sites are large and spaced out. Each space has a fire pit and picnic table. There is water available but it’s located next to the pit toilets, not at the individual sites.
You can see the lake from the sites, but we had to walk about 1/2 mile to get…

Beautiful sunsets in the fishing isn't half-bad either!!
I took my Girl Scout daughter and her bff-first time camper to spend the night at Colossal Cave MP last Saturday. Living about an hour away, called and was told plenty of sites available, to just come on up. Arrived to find the campgrounds in dire need of maintenance and roads in pretty cruddy…

I hope this is the hardest campground review I ever have to write. The visit to Colossal Cave Mountain Park started pretty terrible but the property manager/caretaker (Gary) saved this review. Let me start from the beginning.
Upon arrival we were checked in and told there were fire restrictions in…

We regularly camp here with our cub scout pack and their families. Nice and well maintained sites, accessible bathrooms, and great rangers.
