Great, private spot!

This spot was absolutely gorgeous. There were maybe 4 different spots along the road. We saw one person with a large trailer parked at the spot closest to the main road, but could barely see them once we set up our camp. Road was a little rough to get in, but definitely not bad when it's dry.

Barren Freedom

As Laura said, easy dirt road from just east of Sonoita & Hwy 82. (GPS had no clue what I was doing, but the coordinates are good) Upon arrival, only one other travel trailer & nice peeps. Lots of dried cow patties, some fire rings & sadly a bit of trash. 2 bars of Verizon. NO toilets…

FREE camping in Las Cienegas National Conservation Area/BLM

Dispersed camping, no amenities, but FREE. 

Easy drive in on partially washboarded flat gravel road (E Yucca Farm Rd). The dirt road into Road Canyon is manageable, just drive with caution. Area is wide open and quiet with multiple spots. Did not see many people during our stay here, just a…

Road Canyon Camping Area is located in Arizona


The camping area is located within the Las Cienegas NCA three miles east of Sonoita. It is situated 2.5 miles off State Road 82 and six miles from State Road 83. To access the NCA, travel along State Road 83, turn east near mile marker 40 to BLM road marker LC 900 into the NCA entrance. Drive six miles, then continue south on LC 900.
