Best Campgrounds near Cordes Junction, AZ

Dirt lot that gets full every night. Even in March. Close to good OHV areas and only 8 miles south of downtown, which is great.

The Bloody Bath access road was an easy drive (F250 SD with a truck camper). Washboards were easy to navigate but watch your speed on the down hill turns. We initially selected the site closest to Bloody Bath Road but decided to move further back to a site about a 1/4 mile in. The road (trail) back to the final site was a bit washed out (dry) with some deep ruts but again easily navigated in our truck. A 2WD Van or a SUV could easily access the site. The site was quiet. The biggest bummer was the amount of trash and empty beer cans strewn around the site. Real bummer.

Good place to stay for one night if you are passing through. A little sketchy with some abandoned vehicles. Be extra careful with big rigs, there are some very tight spaces, but overall it was a good place for boondocking for the night.

The largest of the dispersed areas off 525 in West Sedona. Has a bit more privacy than the other areas. Pretty packed in. The road in was pretty wash board and rough. But worth the drive. Hiking right near here. Lots of side by sides and ATV activity over the weekend.

Great secluded campgrounds the best camp spot is 11 and 12 however it is kind of dirty people do leave things and don't take things to the garbage other than that it's a great place to fish to camp and not have a whole lot of people there there is no cell service so you're off the grid.

I am in site 25 which is a non-electric site. In my opinion, it’s the best site in the campground. Lots of trees and backs up to a wash. Spent the afternoon watching bluebirds in the trees outside my RV and woke up to cottontail rabbits hopping around.

Nice place, superclean bathroom, i have all hookups for $50, people camping nice and respectfull. Access to lakes, good fishing trouts.

Too rocky for us to drive into. You may want to pull along the main road and walk in to see the conditions. There are several places to drive in, so pick the one that looks the best to you and your rig. Just saying...

Excellent... Lots of room, flat, and just off a paved road. This is better than the wild camping we found up in Wickenburg. Yes, there are signs here that you need to have an Arizona Trust Land Permit, but you get it online for$16. If you need to dump and/or get fresh water Wickenburg is just miles up the road and the Fast Mart Chevron station has two stations for this, plus propane. We paid$15 to dump and the potable water fill up was included. Wickenburg is surprising and has all the services, grocery, etc... you would need.

Super easy access. I am in a 20 foot long Van with an 11 foot trailer attached.

Site is flat dirt/light gravel.

I am here to ride a dirt bike from Colorado it's nice to be close to an OHV trails.

Beautiful campsite, first camping trip with our new travel trailer and this was great first spot! Dirt rad was a little bumpy but actual campsite was easy to get to

The first 4 blm sites on the forest service road were packed and this one almost so but luckily I was able to find a spot. This was after Greasy Spoon but before Nolan or a smaller version of Nolan since it looked like a lot of areas were nearby but blocked off and only had 1 portable toilet.

Despite being full, was relatively quiet and there was enough bushes around to have some privacy. As others mentioned be prepared for getting red dust everywhere. Excellent views of nearby hills and the night sky.

Road is in pretty decent shape for my camper van. The area was fairly busy when I was there so had to drive in a couple miles more than I wanted. Sites are nicely spaced though so it's not like some areas where everyone is in a big lot. Also since further in, didn't notice the highway noise like some mentioned.

Great location as you can walk right into Sedona. Very well kept RV park with very clean bathrooms. Sites are spaced out a bit; not as tight as some other RV parks. There are huge shade trees. You can walk down along the creek and find some peaceful rocks for sitting on to read or contemplate. There are also a couple of hikes accessible 1/4-1/2 mile from the RV park. There is a dog run, laundry (closed for remodeling when we were here in March 2025), and volleyball court. Really well run with a lot of attention to upkeep of the grounds.

Great camping with tons of off-roading nearby.
