Senator Highway dispersed

Nice spot for a quick overnight. Our site itself was mostly clean (we did find a couple nails though, likely from pallet boards, that we did pick up and throw away...) but we did see other areas on the way in where the previous campers weren't as courteous. The area itself was quiet and felt safe during our stay. Good cell service, too.

Easy and comfortable

Stayed 3 nights. Easy access to/from town, recently graded road as of this writing, and (kind of) level sites. Quiet during the winter season at least and plenty of wildlife. Like most dispersed camping, kooks leave trash everywhere.

Not too shabby

Pretty decent selection of sites. Some are right on the road, but others are tucked away quite nice. Less than 10 mins from town, but you wouldn’t know it. Roads in are a breeze with only a few sites where having more clearance might be nice. Enjoyed our stay other than one night where our neighbors got a little wild. Sites aren’t that close but at 100 decibels it doesn’t matter.

Nice spots

I lucked out and got the last spot, unfortunately it was relatively close to the road and there was some traffic during the day. There are several roads to drive down and find a spot. You must camp at an existing spot. A fire ring was provided and it looks like the area was taken care of.. no trash, fire ring emptied, site was raked. The funny part was I could hear a group of people playing live Mexican music until after midnight but it wasn’t intrusive. The night sky was amazing, nearby hiking trails and plenty to explore. Aside from the traffic and noise into the night the area was beautiful. I’d recommend getting a spot earlier in the day though.

Amazing View

This wonderful spot gives amazing evening and sunset views. There are plenty of places to hike and it’s very quiet. I would point out that when I went the wind was pretty strong at night. This spot can get pretty gusty. FYI if you plan to tent camp.

Beautiful spots but need 4x4

The spots here are really nice but if you go camping in the winter season you definitely need four wheel drive. The last couple of miles to the camp sites are on dirt road and are not cleared from snow in the winter time. The spots are a nice distance away from each other. The signs for each location state a maximum of 7 days for camping.

Decent spots, some with a view

I took my Honda Ridgeline, along with my teardrop trailer up the dirt road. There were several different camping spot options. I was lucky enough to find one with an incredible view. Spots are very well spaced out and I never heard another person the entire night.

Senator Hwy Dispersed

These dispersed spots are a good ways outside of Prescott. It’s a nice getaway after being in the busy Sedona area for the past five days. Some mosquitoes were still around but they left me alone after dark. Unfortunately there was quite a bit of trash at the campsite, left by previous occupants.

Prescott Camping

Another great camping spot !! Not that far at all from Phoenix, 20 min from Prescott! If you find the right campsite you can look out over the mountains into the valley! 7000 feet elevation 💯👍

Awesome site right off the main road

This site was close enough to the city while being far enough away to enjoy the surrounding nature. For the coordinates given, this site does have a short stretch of road that may need a vehicle with higher clearance, just a heads up. There is a nice fire ring and a place to park 2-3 cars max.
