    Dockside RV Resort

    Clean, quiet, & great location

Very nice rv park. All have full hookups including sewer. Lots at gravel and level with plenty of room to park your camper & tow vehicle. Swimming g pool is nice, there is also a large fire pit. We arrived late and we’re offered help setting up since it was getting dark. WiFi is good enough for Roku & Hulu. Fishing dock is right across the street and we were only 25 minutes from Dauphin Island.

    Bay Palms RV Resort

    Small spots, nice people

Great customer service from the staff, no picnic tables, fun crowd, there’s a gym not a haircut place according to the website, dog park, they are renovating the bathrooms and reinvesting in the park to make it bigger with more spots, close enough to Dauphin Island.

    Bay Palms RV Resort

Not our style but appears to be a very nice RV park

If RV parks are your thing, you will likely enjoy staying here. I would rate it a 4 based on friendliness of staff and amenities but lower on location and layout (parking lot style). This is simply because of the fact that we travel in our campervan and only wish to spend a limited amount of time IN our van as opposed to larger RVs that are more conducive to staying inside.

Rates vary from $35/night full gravel back-in during the winter to $55/night for a premium pull-through in the summer. Weekly rates are also available. Military and Good Sam discounts are also given.

Amenities include a heated pool, community room, dog park, gym (new equipment was being delivered the day I visited) and new laundry appliances due to be delivered. This RV park is located on the road to Dauphin Island, about eight miles away. I don’t think you would be on your way to/from anywhere so it is not likely you would stay here as a stopover but if you were coming with a group or escaping the winter, this might be a nice place for you.

    Shady Acres Campground

Nice, quiet place with no amenities central to everything

This was a no frills campground with full hook up. Close to the USS Alabama Mem. Park and about an hour to Gulf Shores. About a half hour to Dauphin Island. Stayed 12 days while WFC. Mike, the property mgr. was great. Gave us good recommendations on places to go, people to see, off-site firewood and even lent us his firepit. ATT and Verizon were excellent for working from camper

    Mobile Oaks RV Resort

    Name has changed

This park is now Mobile west. They are still going through some changes. Pretty quiet park with security gates and cameras. Alot of nice size trees with a 14 acre lake and swimming pool. They sell propane on site also. Alot of long term worker campers but it's been a nice month here. I recommend to drive to Dauphin island (about 20 to 30 min).

    Bay Palms RV Resort

    Nice place

Nice RV park, felt safe. Our daughter enjoyed the playground. We went in March, so we were hoping to enjoy the heated pool, but unfortunately it was ice cold. Looked nice and clean for summer use though. Shower water was also cold. It’s a short drive to dauphin island, which we enjoyed visiting. Luckily we brought most of the food we needed because there is no nearby fast food and limited grocery stores. Just something to be aware of. Mainly seafood or pizza restaurants around. WiFi was pretty unusable for us.

    Dauphin Island Campground

    Beautiful Island

Dauphin Island is an amazing place! The island is not very large, but has lots to do. There are several good restaurants, ice cream shops, a great seafood market called Skinners, where you can order fresh seafood from the steamer (we ordered crab legs twice during our stay 😋), parks, bike paths across the entire island, great fishing, a bird sanctuary, an Estuarium (similar to an aquarium), and beautiful white sand beaches, just to name a few!

We stayed at the Dauphin Island Campground in the tent area on site 8. The check in process was fairly time consuming , as it is all written out by hand. Check out is the same way, and they don’t take online reservations. The people in the office are amazing though, so it was ok!

The campground map is not accurate for site selection. We were first given site 5, which looked great on the map, but was not great for our rooftop tent. Also, there is no way to see the ocean from ANY site, so don’t think you’ll have ocean view. On the map I thought we might be able to have a glimpse of the Gulf, but not so. Site 8 was perfect for us, nice shady spot with view of the trees in the bird sanctuary. All tent sites have water and electric hookups. They do not allow anything to be hung from trees, including hammocks, so bring hammock stand if you plan to use them.

The RV sites are all pretty close to each other. The row nearest the bay has water views, but is also next to the road and auto ferry. Several long time residents stay at this campground, Possibly seasonal.

The restrooms/bathhouse was immaculate! They have a designated cleaning at 9-9:30 daily, and they were in excellent shape. There’s also laundry facilities on site. There’s a camp store, and a fish cleaning station, and playground as well.

Beach access is in the back of the campground near the tent sites, we took our bikes and that was the best way to get there. It took us less than a minute to be on the beach. The beach was fairly empty and that’s what we loved the most! Like having our own private beach. Take a cart to haul your chairs, umbrella, etc, or plan on packing it on your back like we did. The people who were fishing were catching fish the whole time, so if you enjoy fishing, this is a great spot.

We absolutely LOVED Dauphin Island, and will definitely return, but if we come back in the summer, we will bring the pop up tent so we can have A/C, as it is blazing hot!

    Parkers Landing RV Park

    Nice Little Park

This is a nice little park. Not fancy, but friendly and quiet. The office people were really nice and very accomodating. Has a small pool, showers/restrooms, and laundry. There are maybe 50% fulltime residents, but we were there for two months and never heard/saw any drama or trouble. People were friendly and kept mainly to themselves. Park has lots of shade from beautiful live oak trees and has a waterfront area that is very pretty. No dog park, but plenty of places to walk your leashed pet. There is a boat ramp around the corner and I believe the waterway connects to the river. The park is older, and some of the cement pads are cracked and heaving, but looked like people were able to level up. They mow and trim regularly, so things were neat. This isn't a new fancy park, but it was nice and quiet and we liked it. We had site 64 which was a great really long pull thru with full hookups. Our Verizon reception was good. They offer reasonable weekly and monthly prices as well as nightly. The park is off Exit 41 of I-10 about halfway between D'Iberville/Biloxi exit and Gulfport exit (both have tons of shopping). Local area has tons to do...casinos, beaches, about an hour and quarter to New Orleans, Shuckers baseball, plus tons of great food.
