Enjoy long range views to the East and West of the Appalachian and Allegheny Mountains. See the sun rise and fall beyond the distant ridge lines as you await vast night skies free of light pollution. Watch the smoke rise from the forests creating clouds after a foggy morning or rain. Discover cliffs, caves, springs and more as you adventure the land. Hike the terrain with the East and West side of the property providing different experiences. All wildlife is in abundance and bird watchers rejoice, the forests and pastures are alive. Enjoy the peace, still and quiet that comes with seclusion deep in the mountains.



This property is dispersed camping, you may choose any location within the 88 acres to set up your camp. A picnic table, fire ring, trash can and toilet are all provided to the site of your choosing.

Just minutes away from Cranberry back country ,Cranberry glades, Hillscreek falls and the highland scenic highway. 8 miles off of route 19 where you can enjoy Summersville Lake and Gauley River Whitewater. Just a few miles on down the road to the New River Gorge, where on an October day guests from around the world come to jump off a perfectly good bridge, with parachutes attached of course. Too many mountain streams to list all, where I myself enjoy fishing for our state fish Native brook trout. Cell service is sketchy in places, which I consider a plus if you want to enjoy all the beauty. My friend Rick Greene will take you and your family via mules and wagon to trout fish the Cranberry River, where no motor vehicles are permitted. Access only on foot, bike or horse. By appointment at cranberryadventures.com . Numerous walking trails and ATV trails. The Williams, Elk and Cranberry rivers are some of the best trout streams in the eastern U.S.



Beaver Lakes Campground

Located at the end of Glade Creek Road, off Route 41 near Prince. Coming from Beckley, Glade Creek Road is a well-marked right hand turn before crossing the New River. Follow Glade Creek Road for six miles to the campground. There are six walk-in tent sites and five drive-in sites for tents or small-medium RVs. There is one accessible site.

Summersville Lake Retreat is your jumping off point to all that there is to do in beautiful Southern West Virginia from spending the day on Summersville lake to exploring the New River Gorge National Park, we are 15 minutes from everything! You can stay with us in a variety of ways across our 57 acre wooded retreat with many sites that overlook Summersville Lake or have other fantastic views. We offer camping in one of our cabins or in your own RV, camper, tent, or hammock. Our large cabins are built onsite by Appalachian craftsmen out of native hemlock and are fully outfitted from the cookware to the linens and some are even equipped with hot tubs and fireplaces. Our Tiny Cabins and Vintage camper rentals are just right for your weekend glamping needs. Our RV sites are a variety of full hook up, water/electric, and primitive wooded sites to cover all camping styles. We take great pride in our wonderful amenities from our clean bathrooms and showers, pirate ship playground, huge dog park, hammock hangout, table tennis area, community fire pits, picnic shelters, cornhole arena, horseshoe pits, gift shop and camp store, and of course our working lighthouse that you can climb 10 stories to the see the views for miles.

5 acres of hilltop fields dotted with trees, bath house, fire rings and other on-site amenities. Pet-friendly, but you're responsible for care and clean-up. Kids under 18 are free. Only minutes from Beckley/Tamarack or Fayetteville, officially one of the coolest small towns in America.

Our RV accommodations include both pull-through and back-in spaces, electric, water, and sewer hook-ups. We also provide a bath house, laundry facilities, and 16 acres to stretch out and make use of picnic tables, fire pits, corn hole boards, and the on-site soda machine.

Our rustic studio cabin provides a quiet getaway on the hilltop, only steps away from our rafting departures. The cabin provides 2 queen beds, mini-frig, bathroom, sitting porch, and all linens.
