West Virginia Adventures Campground

West Virginia Adventures Campground sits in the forested terrain of Glen Jean, where campers can access sites by car, boat, or on foot depending on their preferred approach. The property provides full hookups for RVs along with basic amenities including restrooms, showers, and drinking water, though some visitors report the access road can present challenges.

Spacious sites spread through the wooded setting, with campers noting the proximity to outdoor recreation opportunities. The campground serves as a staging point for white water rafting and zip line adventures, with several reviewers mentioning these activities during their stays. "Bath house was clean," reports George B., though experiences with staffing and communication appear inconsistent based on visitor accounts.

Road noise from the nearby freeway affects some areas of the campground, and cell service can be spotty throughout the property. The reservation system operates, though confirmation processes may vary. Water and electrical connections function reliably at RV sites, while the forested environment provides natural shade and hiking opportunities within the property boundaries.

Campers seeking a different experience might consider Wood Mountain Road Campground just north of the area.

Many campers appreciated the spacious sites, clean facilities, and excellent adventure activities nearby. A few reviews mentioned issues with road noise and limited staff presence during off-season visits.

No people, but no staff

Site was accessible, and we could get into the bathhouse. The cabins and picnic facilities look to be first class. Water and power worked.

But there isn’t a soul on site, and we didn’t get a confirmation email as was promised by the reservation system. No wifi at all. No maps to let us know the property boundaries. There is a lot of junk laying outside the locked buildings.

The site is near the freeway, and you can hear the road noise.

I’d skip this site out of tourist season.

This place is way fun

I went here and did some river rafting and and the zip line. It was a little on the pricey side but well worth it. The place is full of trees and great for hiking.

Options galore

We arrive and found the staff very pleasant. We were very pleased with cleanliness of most facilities. Campsites were spacious and cared for.
