Great campground for working remotely

I camped here on a whim, last minute, last July. We didn’t plant it. Purely by luck and chance we were able to score a site here after cancellations due to wildfires and Hwy 20 closure on the east side of the park. We stayed in a few sites at Newhalem CG this way, some were pull-into (or back into)…

  • pull through site - we chose to pull in from the sides
  • back-in site - we lucked out as the neighbors on both sides didn’t show up so there was some privacy, would have felt a bit cramped otherwise
  • long pull-through site

Nice setting - few sewer sites

This is my first time using a thousand trails membership so I didn’t know what to expect. The overall campground is nice with almost all of the sites being surrounded by trees or a view of the bay. But I was disappointing to find that the few sites that have a sewer connection were all taken and no…

Cranberry Lake campground - Deception Pass, WA

Beautiful area with lots to do. Electric, water hookups with sewage dump on the way out. Campsites are not level and can be a tight fit between trees. Lots of different beach trails & bike paths. Whale watching excursions nearby. Cell service spotty.

Nice facilities!

Great set up for a small park with small sites. There are trees between every camp spot to add privacy. Best part is that the restrooms are clean and the showers are free. There is a store and a laundry also on site.

Hidden hand campground

Backpacked into Ross lake area and camped at hidden hand. We stayed at an equestrian friendly spot and there was a fire pit and nice flat area for our tent. The spot was a few min walking to the lake and we watched the sunrise there

Stayed two nights

What a lovely campground! There’s a day use area with a bathroom and picnic tables right before entering into the campground. This place allows you to pay to park in the lots for $15/night if you are occupying it which is nice when the campground is full. There’s trash bins located throughout the…

Wonderful nearby campground

We were dying to go on a quick camping trip. Lynden KOA was the perfect nearby campground. Tent sites in the back are rather dusty (no grass)… but then again we’re camping so who cares. Grassy sites are around the pond and book up quickly. Great Amenities…. Swimming pool, mini golf, arcade games,…

Nice campsite

The hosts are very nice. The rate is $20 for a tent site which includes free showers. There is a dishwashing station. I couldn’t find where to fill up water, there was no hookups at our tent site. The bathrooms are a little scary and showers small, but they were clean and maybe I’m just a little…

Awesome pitstop

Great pitstop on the way to northern cascades. We had a site away from the road so minimal road noise. Good connectivity on verizon
