Best RV Parks & Resorts near Lake Stevens, WA

Several RV parks surround Lake Stevens with full-hookup sites for various rig sizes. Lake Pleasant RV Park in Bothell offers 50-amp electric, sewer, and water hookups with paved sites that accommodate large motorhomes. Thousand Trails Thunderbird in Monroe provides year-round access with full hookups, though tenting areas sit close to the road. "Loved this RV Park. The staff was very friendly and helpful as we were first timers with absolutely no experience," noted one visitor about Lake Pleasant. Lake Ki RV Resort near Arlington features spacious sites with 50-amp service, while Cedar Grove Shores RV Park in Stanwood has received high ratings for its lakefront location and accommodations for all RV sizes.

Most parks in the region require advance reservations, particularly during summer months. Dump stations are available at Tall Chief Campground, Lake Pleasant, and several other locations, though not all sites include sewer hookups at the pad. Cell coverage varies significantly, with better service near urban areas and limited connectivity in more remote locations. Parks enforce different pet policies, with most allowing pets but imposing breed or size restrictions. Propane refills aren't widely available on-site at most parks. Winter camping remains possible at several facilities, though some amenities may close seasonally. A reviewer mentioned that Tall Chief offers "spacious sites with privacy" despite lacking individual sewer hookups, requiring the use of their on-site dump station.

Town and Country Motorcoach and RV Resort

Great Stop After a Long Trip

We followed RV Trip Wizard south on I-5 straight to the campground (CG). At the stoplight next to Lowe’s, you simply continue straight into the resort entrance for check-in. Check-in was super easy and informative, and we were then escorted to pull-through Site 11 with FHUs. A standout feature here is that each long pull-through has full utility hookups on both sides. Sewer placement was excellent—neither too high nor too low—and the sewer cap even swivels to align with your hose(something we’d never seen before). The pad was long enough for our 40' toy hauler with the patio down, plus convenient parking for our F450. It was interesting that a CG this nice did not have picnic tables nor fire pits/barbecues at the sites. Connectivity was great: campground Wi-Fi delivered~49 Mbps down/ 44 Mbps up, while T-Mobile Home Internet hit 133 Mbps down/ 9 Mbps up. On the north side of the CG is a tree farm where dogs can roam off-leash. We were also able to receive packages—very helpful coming back from Alaska/Canada—and even had our vehicle washed onsite. An RV tech staying in the CG was available for repairs. The campground hosts and workers could not have been more accommodating—allowing package delivery, coordinating vehicle washing and RV repairs, and most of all not fertilizing our grassy site because of our 15-year-old pup. There is some road and occasional train noise, but nothing too disruptive. They were getting the shower houses and laundry building finished up while we were there. This is a very nice, newer campground, and we thoroughly enjoyed our week-long stay.

    La Conner Marina RV Resort

    Decent Level Sites

Nice location conveniently located near the Marina, close to everything.

Premium sites are double wide and have a spot to park your RV AND Vehicle. Discount for Good Sam Club members.

Premium Sites $55 before discount (back-in only) Pull-through Sites $55 before discount Regular Back-in Site $45

All sites have Full Hookups, Picnic table & a minor grassed Area.

We stayed in a Premium site, enjoyed the view of the Fields behind us. Extremely quiet, open, not dusty. Downside, people don’t pick up after their Pets. We have two Shelties & think of others so we’re not the Culprits…

Otherwise, pleasant overall. Laundry accepts cards only which is extremely convenient since coins are hard to come by.

5G t-Mobile is 5-stars at our Site, it’s not listed as an option yet.

    Cascades RV Resort

    Cascades RV Resort

We are long term RV campers here at Cascades. It is a lovely RV resort with large concrete pads with astroturf lawn and picnic table. Everyone is friendly. Nightly noise is never excessive. Gracie’s place is an onsite cafe that serves food, alcohol, deserts, coffees, and other drinks. You can get package delivery just no USPS. They do offer monthly discounts. Would highly recommend for anyone in an RV.

    North Sound Recreational Vehicle Park

    Simple Urban RV Park

This is very much an RV park and not really a campground. Seems like a clean little park, but right in the middle of Lynnwood, so if you are looking for a rural setting this isn't for you.

They offer weekly and monthly rentals, so this is more of a long-term sort of place.

    Website: Northsound RV Park

    Requirements from their site:

    • Your travel trailer must be year 2005 or newer
    • Pet friendly(limit 2) not to exceed 25 lbs. Aggressive breed restrictions apply.
    • No conversion vehicles - sorry van and bus life people
    • No trailers larger than 35' long, ideally.

    Kayak Point County Park

Small woodsy campground with beach access

All campsites are surrounded by trees so choose carefully if you need a pull through or if you have a large rig that you’re trying to back up. We had a small camper van and it fit perfectly. Campsite is on a bluff above the beach, but you can’t see the sunset from the campground you would have to go down to the beach. Bathroom/shower is typical for a state or county campground - functional, but zero elegance. This one is a county campground and state or federal passes do not apply. Water and 30 amp electric at all sites except one tent site. Douglas squirrels are common and shy. Pets are welcome on leash.

    Blue Sky RV Park

    Awesome park

We reserved a space for 1 night the day before. Great communication with Brett, everything went really smooth. The facilities are great and very clean, the park very quiet. There are a lot of big rigs parked there, some of the pm long-term as it seems. We enjoyed ourselves and would definitely visit again.

    Washington Park Campground

    Anacortes Camping

Great medium size campground surrounded by saltwater, short trails, and grassy picnic areas. Great views of islands and sunsets. Boat launch with large paid parking area. Walking distance to Skyline Marina for a variety of ocean activities. We went on a whale tour and encountered atleast 10 Orcas. Campground can be muddy in some spots. Mostly reservations, 14 day in advance, but there a a few first come first serve sites. Some with water and electric. Motorhome, trailers and tents. Some spots looked like they could handle 40 foot rigs. A couple longer pull throughs. Very shelterd anthrough. Not much good for solar. Showers and restrooms.

    Cedar Glen RV Park

great long-term or quick on the way

There are several long term campers here. The grounds are kept immaculate and they regularly update the sites.  They hang wreaths for the winter holidays. Lawns mowed weekly.

All are level gravel. All have grass area, some with patio pad. There is a dog walk area and they are currently creating a dog fenced area at the end orf the two rows.

A caretaker is on site and will often help guide rigs into the sites (all are back-in).

Close to Poulsbo (a cute, Norwegian heritage town), Seattle ferry via Bainbridge Island and just over an hour to the Olympic National Park via the Hood Canal Bridge.

Military Park Jim Creek Naval Radio Station Jim Creek Wilderness Recreation Area

    So much to do!

It had been 15 years at least since I'd been to Jim Creek. Since then, they've done some nice upgrades. The rv pads are double wide concrete pads about 50 feet long with full hook-ups. All sites include a fire pit, picnic table, and grill with ash bucket and grill cleaning brush. The rv park is close to the recreation office that has a little gift shop with snacks and drinks. This is also where you can rent equipment such as bikes, fishing poles, boats, etc. They also have a movie theater upstairs that operates on Saturday. This building has a 24 hour lounge with free wifi, TV, dvds, books, markers, coloring books, games, and other things for visitors to use. The wifi was only supposed to work inside the building, but I could pick it up in my campsite once or twice during our stay. Verizon cell service is very spotty. When I did pick it up, I only had one bar. There are several hiking trails and you can drive about 5 miles back to Twin Lakes to fish or just take a rented boat out or just enjoy the view. Jim Creek is a Naval Radio station and is for active duty military, retired, DoD, and reserves. There is a gate and you must show id to get in. Because of this and the base police roll through once or twice a day, I felt very safe compared to a state park or even a private campground. We camped Tuesday-Friday and even when it started filling up in Thursday, it was still super quiet at night. Quiet like not even bug sounds. That was wonderful.

Guide to Lake Stevens

Lake Stevens, Washington sits at approximately 300 feet elevation in the western foothills of the Cascades, creating a transitional climate zone between the Puget Sound lowlands and mountain terrain. Campgrounds in the area experience mild, rainy winters and warm, relatively dry summers with average July temperatures reaching 75°F. The region's glacial history has formed numerous small lakes and ponds that support diverse wildlife including resident geese and waterfowl.

What to do

Riverside fishing opportunities: Thousand Trails Thunderbird in Monroe provides access to excellent fishing spots along the river where visitors can watch fly fishing. "Along the river you see fly fishing its amazing," notes one camper who gave the facility a 5-star rating.

Walking trails and bird watching: Lake Pleasant RV Park offers short hiking trails around its property with opportunities to observe local wildlife. One visitor described their experience: "We did not use the bathrooms, but enjoyed the walking trails, playground for the kids, and watching the resident ducks in the pond."

Local hiking excursions: The area serves as a base camp for exploring nearby mountain trails. Though Silver Lake RV Park isn't ideal for extended stays, its location works for hikers. "We really only picked this place because we wanted to hike near Rainier, and found that this place was close and cheap," shares one reviewer.

What campers like

Clean facilities: Tall Chief Campground receives consistent praise for their well-maintained facilities. "Bathrooms are usually found to be immaculate. The main bathrooms have a great 'spa' feeling to their design and make you feel like you are glamping," explains one camper in a detailed review.

Convenient shopping access: Many parks provide easy access to necessities. A visitor at Lake Pleasant RV Park commented, "The park is across the street from a Safeway which was very convenient. Also very close to some excellent restaurants in Bothell."

Space between sites: Campers appreciate the roomier layout at some RV parks near Lake Stevens. "Great camp site for all sizes. Mostly no sewer. But if you enjoy a little distance between sites without sacrificing camp size line up here," mentions one Tall Chief visitor who rated the experience 4 stars.

What you should know

Cell reception variability: Coverage can be spotty due to terrain. A Tall Chief camper noted, "Another thing that can be annoying is trying to find a site with good cell reception due to all the trees. They definitely have a few, but I would say arrive early so you can drive by all the sites while checking to make sure you have good reception if you need it."

Sewer hookup limitations: Many sites lack full hookups. As one camper at Cascades RV Resort explained, "We are long term RV campers here at Cascades. It is a lovely RV resort with large concrete pads with astroturf lawn and picnic table."

Animal noise considerations: Wildlife can impact your sleep quality. A Lake Pleasant visitor warned, "The grounds are quiet... truly silent... save for the many geese that call the lake in the center of the property their home. I mention the geese because they were the only disruptive part of our stay. Their squawks often woke us early in the morning or at random times throughout the night."

Tips for camping with families

Playground facilities: When choosing RV camping near Lake Stevens, Washington for family trips, check for kid-friendly amenities. One Tall Chief visitor shared, "We had a great time, even stayed an extra night! The pool, miniature golf, playground and basketball were great."

Affordable laundry services: Cove RV Park & Country Store provides conveniences that help during family stays. Camp hosts sometimes offer unexpected perks: "Camp hosts are great and made for a wonderful holiday. Free Saturday night ribs and chicken made a great surprise!"

Tent camping cautions: Families considering tent camping should carefully review site locations. One camper warned about Thousand Trails Thunderbird: "Tenting areas are 10-15 feet from the road, so very noisy all night long. The road is 35mph, so it's noisy. I was fortunate enough to get the only flat tent space - all other tent sites are on a gentle lean."

Tips from RVers

First-timer friendly options: Newer RV owners find some parks especially accommodating. Lake Ki RV Resort near Arlington works well for beginners: "We wanted somewhere not too far away from our rental pick up in Seattle and chose this resort. There was a Walmart and Safeway nearby where we could get stocked up."

Storage options: Extended-stay RVers appreciate places that offer temporary storage. One Lake Pleasant visitor mentioned, "Easy reservation process. Reasonable rate for city location. Look at monthly rates if you staying more than two weeks. On site storage if you need to leave your rig for a few days."

Assistance with setup: Novice RVers value helpful staff. At Cove RV Park, one camper shared, "This is our first trailer camping trip ever so we wanted to start small and close to home. We first arrived with only knowing the basic and Mike the grounds master was more than happy to help us park and hook up. He was super nice and answered all of our questions."
