Pretty remote. Lots of traffic. Found a site that people with a Prius wouldn’t be able to get to.
Super buggy in June. No cell service. But, plenty of privacy and solitude.
We had a nice private site, close to amenities and the lake, the beach area was nice, kind of rocky, but had sand for the beach. The play area has a nice set up, overall a nice camping area.
I will start with the ONLY drawback, and it is dramatic at best. For like 30 minutes a day at around 5pm (I was there Thursday to Monday) you would hear (pistol) gun fire. Its most annoying the first day, then you get over it.
This is absolutely the best kept and cleanest campground…

Although we live only about 25 miles from this VT State Park, and have biked by here many times, we've never camped here. We selected it because it was nearby for our second outing with our new (used) R-Pod camper. Turns out it's a wonderful park. Perfect Lake Champlain views from a few prime…

Nice little state park. The waterfront sites are great, but you can be very close to your neighbors. The last site 15 is also right next to a very busy boat launch. While the sites are nice, overall maintenance of the facilities was less than ideal. The beach has weeds, the bathrooms were not…
This campground while a little on the pricy side has phenomenal spots! They are big and private! I will definitely be coming back!
This campground is awesome! There plenty of spaces with HUGE sites. There is a beach, fishing dock, pavilion and plenty to do in the area. This is dispersed camping but every site has water nearby. The water is difficult to get as you can’t connect a regular hose. Luckily a neighbor helped us out.…
I rarely stay at private campsites but decided to splurge and book this one for a last-minute Memorial Day Weekend adventure.
This campsite was so nice and clean complete with a picnic table, fire ring, solar lights, and a composting toilet. Unlike most private campsites that I've stayed at…

Spent two nights on FR207 at one of the fields and explored the rest. This is not a place to go without at least 9" of ground clearance. Views are spectacular, choose either sunrise or sunset and you should be able to get a site to fit your needs.

I didn't get the chance to camp here, it was full when I drove through looking for a place. So I came back later in the weekend for pictures. Great location, easy access, on a nice brook. Fire ring only, no facilities and minimal parking.

Okay so. My friend and I were desperately looking for a place to spend the weekend, and with Covid making it a little more difficult to rely on walking in and finding a campsite, we made a blind reservation for site 8 on Grout pond. Here's what we wish we knew before hand:

A lot of amenities bathrooms and showers well taking care of. Only problem is it cost $20 a person to come visit.
Not a campground.
Great for campers or tent. Farm experience, friendly owner.I brought my tag camper and was able to get it hooked up to the shore power and got to spend some time up in the woods and it was really easy to find. Scott was a great host I even got to feed the alpaca :-)
