All in all a great place unless you meet the Boss. He is a good old boy through and through hard headed and ignorant, but the rest of the people that work here are pretty nice.
This is a great place to take a small group for some winter backcountry fun not far from the city. There are more remote yurt options around, but this one feels pretty remote with its 2.5 mile hike in. It does tend to fill up fast so book early. It has a spacious bunk area with a nice wood burning stove that keeps everything toasty during the cold nights. Grab the gang and have a great time.
We go there 3 or 4 times a year , and love the full rv hook ups. And camp host great guy. Hoping to be able to do same thing in next few years. Great view of lake and can walk down to swimming area . Great fishing, especially if you know where to go.
Campground was full, but there is a road that has lots of pull offs with fire pits and picnic tables. Spread out sites. Primitive so no power or water but for $15 and only minutes from SLC and the salt flats I’ll take it. It is gated and closes at 7pm so get there early to grab a good spot.
We stayed for two nights, and it was a good stay. The utilities were in the perfect position for an RV towing a car. The front desk was super friendly and gives popcorn every day. Very walkable park and safe. Since was right off the highway, there was a lot of road noise; price to pay for location.
Friendly and helpful people. Clean. Attractive. Some freeway noise at our site … but wasn't a big deal.
Clean place, lots of amenities, and great staff. Price is competitive for this area Only down side is the exhaust from highway traffic can get a bit strong, but I would definitely come back.
Conestoga Ranch is a destination that gives luxury a down home feel.
Located in Garden City, Utah on the beautiful Bear Lake Conestoga Ranch offers luxury tents and a chance to stay in a covered wagon.
I stayed in a larger, more luxurious site because my wife and I were on our Anniversary weekend.
The tent had a king bed, shower, and deep claw foot tub. The decor is charmingly rustic with log furnishings and tin and raw pipe for plumbing and accessories, this is all intentional and makes the experience even better.
Onsite, there are clean shower rooms and rest rooms, laundry facilities, an arcade, and a very fine restaurant and lounge.
Upon check in, you park by the office and a attendant takes you and your gear up to your site, later on a fire concierge will come and start your fire as you relax and take in all the beauty around you.
Bear Lake offers so much opportunity for recreation, from boating, to side x side rentals to beaches, mountain biking and some shopping.
This luxury comes at a price…a pretty steep price for camping, rates vary, but staying before memorial day gave us the better rate.
I do think that the price is worth the wonderful experiences that we had at this fun little place.
Have a great time.
Loved this place will definitely go back. Spacious and not too crowded. Lots of hiking spots!
