Great Views, Adequate Camping

We went on a busy weekend and were fortunate to get an overflow spot. Staff was helpful. The camp spots are small and crowded. The wifi only works if you are basically right beside the office. Very quiet for how many people were there, which was nice! Would definitely recommend for a night or two if you're just looking for a spot to sleep while out exploring the area. Reasonably priced.

We stayed here for 3 days the first week in March. The view is great and the camp is clean and all maintained. The internet was awesome!! Highly recommend Moab Rim Campark and will visit again if in the area.

Busy dusty some great views

This is a nice park. Seems modern and extra space is available for at toys, they are popular here. Some sites have spectacular views. Book early as you can, we were lucky to get a spot anywhere near Moab a week out. Lost a star due to wi-fi. Little more than background radiation.

This place is well-maintained

We arrived very late after coming off the hike to delicate arch, the sign on the door said pick a site and settle up in the morning which we did. As we have a rooftop tent and are fully self contained, we didn’t use any of the utilities, so they only charged us for a tent site which was cheap and enjoyed the very clean shower facilities. Yes there is grass around the campsites.

Close to Arches and Moab

The management rented out a camping cabin site since the cabin wasn't rented. We paid a bit more than a standard RV site, but it was worth it to have a last minute reserved site near Arches and Moab on a holiday weekend. Smart customer service. Didn't go in the cabin as it was locked up, but the site had electric and water and a nice view from the back. There was a shade tree and a little patch of grass which was also appreciated. Quiet hours were observed and the location was good in Moab.

Excellent except the traffic noise

Great WiFi. Perfect hook-ups. The staff seems great.

We really enjoyed the crowd of campers here. Younger than a lot of places we’ve been. No kids though. Also, the rocky area is rough of your dog’s feet. There is a sandy dog park in Moab, that was pretty good.

Moab

Pulled into town with nothing but getting water on my mind, which I did at Maveric. Next, where to stay. (this tactic is not recommended) There is overflow, dispersed camping, at the Rim. They have a dump site and water. Since it is first come first serve you could stay indefinitely @ $30 a night, $40 for holidays. Parking for dispersed is TIGHT! Good place to get your bearings. Nice park, very helpful staff. If you've never been to Moab get ready. Talk about a tourist town! WOW!! Have you ever been to Daytona Beach during Biketoberfest? Its very similar, with no bikes, just a lot more "cherries". My plan is to see some sights and bugout. Keep it 'tween the lines y'all!

Clean, welcoming, great location!

We stayed at Moab Rim RV Campark in March 2021 on our way to visit Arches National Park (which is only 15 minutes drive from the campark).  We started calling campgrounds when we were about 2 hours outside of Moab, and were discouraged when everywhere we called was booked (our bad, we know!)  However, when we called Moab Rim, they informed us they did have an overflow lot with dry spots, and we gratefully took them.  When we arrived, the office was very clean, and we appreciated being taken to the spots to see them before we committed to them.  The overflow lot was just that- it was used for storage of trailers and whatnot, but we were given a perfect corner for our two trailers.  Might we add, the overflow lot has the BEST views in the entire campark- out our back steps was an open field and trails galore, all at the base of one of the beautiful rock formations that Moab is known for.  The restrooms were very clean, and the campark is nicely located right off Highway 191.  Will def stay here again!

Nice & Clean Campground Near Arches N.P.

Moab Rim RV Campark is a smaller RV/Tent campground with full hook-ups (RV) available. It is located right off the main highway. The sites are pretty close together and there isn't a whole lot of privacy to be had. We had a site facing the street and it can get noisy with all the UTV's driving on the street late at night. Thankfully, we didn't spend too much time there as we were exploring Arches, Canyonlands, Deadhorse State Park etc. If you just need to setup a base camp with full hook-ups then it will suffice.

Great location, not a lot of space

This is a basic RV park that looks a bit like a parking lot. The sites are close together and all we had was a small strip of gravel with a picnic table super close to the driver side (and open slide) of the RV parked next to us. I would not have enjoyed putting out some camp chairs and hanging out there. But it didn’t matter to us because we were camping in December and it was freezing, so we were gone all day and hang out inside our trailer in the evening cooking inside. You also get noise from the road but all RV parks in Moab are just as close to the road. The positive is that they had full hookups including water even in the winter with below freezing temperatures. The bathrooms were also nice and clean. And the location very convenient for exploring the national parks.

Great RV park with camping right outside of downtown Moab

I tent camped at this campground/RV park for 6 nights in early October 2020 and highly recommend this.  If you are looking for a secluded campsite in nature, this is not it.   However, I was looking for a location very close to the heart of Moab which great WiFi and cell service where I could work remotely and a nice camping set up.  This campground/RV park hit all those requirements and I highly recommend it.  The majority of the sites are RV sites here, but also several tent sites, both with and without power.  I booked a tent site with power so be able to work from the road and plug in chargers, etc.  The tent site power has 2 standard household plugs and was right next to the picnic table which was convenient.  I stayed in site G which had a fire pit, covered picnic table, and plenty of space for 2 tents.  All sites have picnic tables and fire pits, but not all are covered.  I worked from here for several days and the WiFi was awesome and my T-Mobile service had 3 bars.  I was able to participate in Zoom calls with no issue.  Bathrooms are extremely clean and there is a small room with a sink for washing dishes which is nice.  The office has a small store with camping essentials, firewood, and ice.  The staff is extremely helpful and friendly-- when I called with questions before booking, they talked me through everything in detail.  Aside from being in more of an RV park setting, there is a little bit of space between sites at least for an RV park style campground and the back of the property is against stunning red rock- which is probably why you came to Moab.  Less than a 5 minute drive to restaurants, shops, supermarkets in downtown Moab, short drive to Arches NP, also convenient to Canyonlands NP.  Highly recommend Moab Rim!

All in all really great

The people here were just great- chatty and friendly. Bathrooms clean and showers included in price were nice. There was a nice amount of grass around and the spots were nice and flat. We had spot I and were able to use power which was fantastic. It was super busy when we were there and so they did end up putting another RV right alongside us but we still had our own space. Views from our spot were lovely. Would definitely stay here again.

Well uhh... That’s what the sign said... Staff is very friendly, and sites are fairly well kept. Bathroom/showers were clean but in dire need of a pick me up as they just seemed run down Lots of tent sites if your in need, rv sites were tight some with plenty of shades others not.

No pool, playground, laundry, designated dog walk (several dogs off leash roaming the grounds).

Probably would not stay again

Campground Review

Moab was AMAZING! Moab Rim RV Campark was just as fabulous with 6 stars for customer service and overall experience. We came in late on Easter weekend during the Easter Jeep Safari Event. They were packed but found a place for us in the back. The host brought out a picnic table and fire ring for us, even offering a barbecue upon request. The Restrooms were Super clean and the hot water seemed endless in the shower. Guys get there early my hubby said the wait in the men’s room for anything was horrible, I did not have that experience on the Ladies side. The camping inside the inner circle seemed super nice with grass and shade, some sites even having shade structures. We were in the back lot (79) not on the map pictured. The CampPark also had several small cabins that looked adorable, and prices vary by season. Wi-Fi was available, the general store had a little bit of everything and it’s just down the street from downtown Moab! I would recommend this campground to everyone! Totally family and pet friendly and the perfect base camp for all your Moab adventures. Arches National Park is 4 miles from Moab and Canyonlands another 30+ Miles. If you have Children be sure to stop at the visitor center prior to your adventure and pick up a “Junior Ranger” packet and get your kids involved and enable them to earn their junior ranger badge for each National Park! Shaffer trail was also really cool out of canyonlands, I believe it was roughly 45 miles of dirt trail. Absolutely breathtaking red rock views and you may even catch a peak at a big horn sheep if you’re lucky!

 Mountain House Ice Cream Sandwiches

As a Ranger for https://thedyrt.com/ I occasionally have the elite privilege of trying out fantastic products such as this. Our thoughts you ask?  WOW WOW AND WOW.. where have these been all my hiking days! An Ice cream Sandwich at the end, middle or beginning of any trail is a sure motivator in our family now. After discovering https://www.mountainhouse.com/ Ice cream sandwiches on our trip to Arches NP in Moab, Utah I don't think another backpacking or hiking trip would be complete without them. What I really enjoyed about the product was it seemed to always be enough and didn't leave me feeling dehydrated and parched. Shout out to all the parents wanting more miles out of your tiny humans, this is a game changer. No preparation or water required was a bonus, just snack and go!
