Reservations are available and recommended at Moab Rim RV Campark, a privately operated campground sitting just off Highway 191 with rates ranging from $9 to $125 per night depending on site type and season. The park runs from March through November and accommodates rigs up to 50 feet with full hookups including electric, water, and sewer. Tent sites are also available, some with electrical access, making it a workable stop for remote workers. Amanda H. notes the WiFi held up well enough for Zoom calls, with T-Mobile pulling three bars on-site.
The layout skews toward RV parking, and some sites read more like gravel strips than traditional campsites. Sites are close together, and road noise from Highway 191 carries through the property. That said, the back of the park opens toward red rock formations, and the overflow lot in particular gives open sightlines toward the surrounding terrain. Quiet hours are observed, and multiple reviewers across different seasons note that the restrooms and showers are consistently clean. The showers are included in the nightly rate, though campers in sites farther from the facilities should expect a longer walk.
Staff flexibility stands out in the reviews. The park has accommodated last-minute arrivals during busy event weekends by using overflow areas, and Erin M. describes it as "the perfect base camp for all your Moab adventures." Nearby options include Pack Creek Campground and HTR Moab for campers comparing sites in the area. A small on-site store carries firewood, ice, and camping basics.
Rates fluctuate based on local events, and the park can fill quickly during busy periods like Easter Jeep Safari or summer holiday weekends. Campers without reservations may need to move sites between nights if they arrive without advance booking. Arches National Park is a short drive away, and downtown Moab's restaurants and grocery stores are within five minutes. This campground works best for RV travelers and tent campers who prioritize hookups, reliable cell and WiFi coverage, and proximity to places to camp near Moab and the surrounding national parks over a remote, nature-immersed setting.
