We had a fabulous time camping at Sapinero Village. From the moment we stepped into the lodge to check in, we were greeted with the bright smiles of the owners. They escorted us to our site to ensure it was to our liking- wow! What a view of Blue Mesa. The hookups worked great, and the bathhouse was clean and great for a warm shower to wash off the days! We loved the lodge area to hang out and connect with other campers, and the game room was a smash hit with our two sons- pool table, Jenga, Uno, shooting hoops! Sitting on the porch looking at the gorgeous views of the reservoir called off what was a perfect stay!
We stayed at Moab Rim RV Campark in March 2021 on our way to visit Arches National Park (which is only 15 minutes drive from the campark). We started calling campgrounds when we were about 2 hours outside of Moab, and were discouraged when everywhere we called was booked (our bad, we know!) However, when we called Moab Rim, they informed us they did have an overflow lot with dry spots, and we gratefully took them. When we arrived, the office was very clean, and we appreciated being taken to the spots to see them before we committed to them. The overflow lot was just that- it was used for storage of trailers and whatnot, but we were given a perfect corner for our two trailers. Might we add, the overflow lot has the BEST views in the entire campark- out our back steps was an open field and trails galore, all at the base of one of the beautiful rock formations that Moab is known for. The restrooms were very clean, and the campark is nicely located right off Highway 191. Will def stay here again!
We were so grateful to stumble upon USA RV Park on our recent trip through New Mexico. We were dealing with snow all the way from Colorado to Gallup, and decided about an hour out of Gallup to stop for the night. We called USA RV Park, and while no one answered, they returned our call within the half hour. They graciously accommodated our 2 trailers last minute with full hookups! The campsite itself is large, clean, well marked, and very nice restrooms! The store was well stocked with what we needed (including a tent repair kit for our pop up!). The owner, John, was very kind, helpful, and a delight to chat with. We filled our propane tank up on site and were on our way the next day! Highly recommend! :)
Small, cozy, good location KOA about 25 minutes from the main entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park. We had a very pretty site, but the tent pad was so hard it was almost impossible for my hulk of a husband to stake the tent down (there were huge roots growing through it!). However, KOAs are always great for a road weary family in need of a game room, showers, and flushing toilets!
Great location within Colorado's Mueller State Park. Easy access to trails, visitor center, and scenic drives. Nice large site with level gravel tent pad, large table, and nice fire pit. Nearby sites seemed to be a good distance away.
Crowded, charming, typical KOA. Located about 30 minutes from Carlsbad Caverns National Park. Quaint store, great play room (super nice staff- left the playroom open for us an additional hour due to downpour!) Accommodated our family as our reservation was deleted and we had nowhere else to go! :) Great clean restrooms and showers.
Typical, charming, yet crowded KOA. Located about 25 minute drive outside west gate of Yellowstone. Beautiful view of mountains. Well stocked store, friendly staff. Tent site was rather small, but had a large table and nice fire pit. Restrooms and showers very clean. Very crowded and a bit noisy into the night, but overall very pleasant stay.
On the Rocking Chair loop you will find about 8 improved sites, each with a table and a fire pit. Nice, level, even ground for pitching tents. Enclosed pit toilets located nearby. Beautiful, wide open views in all directions. Right near shore of Eleven Mile Reservoir. No trees to be found- winds coming off the reservoir made for fun pitching tents! Really more suited for RVs, but we still had a blast!
