About

Welcome to Spanish Trails RV Park, nestled just outside of Moab, Utah. This spot is a gem for anyone looking to explore the stunning landscapes of Arches and Canyonlands National Parks, both just a short drive away. The park is open year-round, so you can enjoy the beauty of the area no matter the season.

Spanish Trails offers full hookups, making it a convenient stop for RV travelers. The sites are gravel and come with a patch of grass and a picnic table. Some folks have mentioned that the sites can be a bit uneven, so you might want to bring some leveling blocks just in case. The park is big-rig friendly, and the roads are spacious enough to maneuver larger RVs without much hassle.

One of the standout features here is the pool and hot tub. After a long day of hiking or exploring, there's nothing better than a soak to ease those sore muscles. The pool area even has little sprays of water, adding a fun touch. The park also has clean bathrooms, showers, and a laundry facility, though it can get busy during peak times.

Pets are welcome, and there's a small pet relief area, though the gravel can get hot, so keep that in mind for your furry friends. The park is close to town, making it easy to stock up on supplies or grab a bite to eat.

Visitors have raved about the friendly staff and the amazing views of the surrounding mountains. Whether you're here for the hiking, the scenery, or just a relaxing getaway, Spanish Trails RV Park is a solid choice. Enjoy your stay and happy camping!

Clean & convienient

We got into Moab really late and they had all of our after hours stuff in the mail box. Sights were all pull through and very wide and it’s full hook ups.

Beautiful views

Most of the sites are on a hill so getting level or off the hitch was very challenging and we had to buy more blocks conveniently located at store on site.

Site is in transition from BLM to state parm

We were looking for an unplanned spot to boondock on a Wednesday evening when our day didn't go as planned.. this is such a great location, just outside of Moab and only 15 mins away from the entrance for Arches NP and 30 mins away from Canyonlands NP. There was a QR code on a billboard at the entrance for us to scan to pay the $15/night fee. There was also a drop box provided to pay with cash or check if desired. There was a sign that stated max stay was 14 nights. Animal-proof.trash recepticals were plentiful and they provided ample portapotties. There is SO MUCH space here, it's wonderful. We have a 28 ft travel trailer with one and and tow with a Chevy Silverado. Tons of room! The stars were amazing

Beautiful view, nice pool/hot tub

The sites are all gravel and the rv sites have a patch of grass next to the site and a picnic table. The roads have plenty of space for big rigs. The pool is nice with little sprays of water in a few places. We were in the back row so we had a nice view of the mountains and we’re able to open our back patio. The hot tub was nice for soothing sore muscles after all the hikes. It is a few minutes south of town - there are closer one - but we really like the campground and would stay again.

Spanish Trails

Spanish Trails Rv Park has a very Friendly staff, is clean, has a small pool, decent internet, and reliable electric. It is close to town and trails. The cites are extremely unlevel, but have a patch of grass are and a small tree at each site. We started at Horsethief State Park campground which was awesome, but an early heatwave of temps over a 100 sent us scurrying for plug in and the ability to run all 3 acs in our 43 foot toy hauler. We used the roll on blocks to level side to side without issue. The pull through are a little tight, so we will be backing out. The Class A’s have had to stop short of level due to slope and ground clearance, but we did not hear of any complaints, and everyone is friendly and happy. It is Moab, after all. The biggest improvement that the park could make would be some shade and a different surface in the pet relief area. The gravel gets very hot, and it’s not fun sweeping up the red dust from the Rv. At the state campground they have a lot of bushes that seed in tiny stickers (we call them beggars fleas in NM—not actual bugs but tiny stickers) that imbed themselves in animals passing by. The labs had no problems, but tough on long eared dogs with soft fur like our Cavapoos, so bring a hair brush.

Melting in the desert 😁!

It is 110° in Moab Utah today wow! We're staying at the Spanish trail RV Park in Moab. The views out the front door of the camper are amazing! There are gravel sites that are a little unlevel. They have full hookups, a pool, laundry room, bathrooms and a store. The staff is very friendly very helpful. Happy 4th of July! The Wi-Fi has been amazing so far as well as cable TV hookups. It is not very far from Arches National Park.

Convenient and family friendly

We chose this campground because of availability of sites and the fact that they have a pool. We had a very nice stay here. We had our adult son with us and found the new shower facility to be a plus for our family. A lot of families are in this campground, and although the laundry facility is modern, it requires timing and teamwork to get your laundry done. We had to wait for washers and coordinated with other campers to get the timing right to dry. The pool is well maintained and refreshing. The bathroom and shower facility is renovated, so it’s very nice; however when the park is busy there could be a wait for a shower to come open. I’m sure in the off season, the shower and laundry facility is adequate, but when we were there they were both very busy. Parking in the sites is a little bit tight because the spots are close to each other, but there’s plenty of room to maneuver a large RV around the park. Camping sites and roads are gravel with grass between the individual spots. There are large, mature trees in the park that provide plenty of shade. All staff members that we had contact with were friendly and helpful. We got a call from them on arrival day to confirm our arrival would be before the office closed so they could leave a packet at check in if we were going to be late. The park is convenient to shopping, restaurants, Arches National park, and several other hiking trails and activities. Water pressure is high here, so they advised using a regulator for the RV hookup, they have them for sale if you don’t have your own.

Nice views

The views were nice and our site had good shade. The pool was also nice, we visited in early June and it was already triple digits. The only con for us was the unleveled gravel pads. Our pad took a pretty big dip towards the front which was not fun to set up.

The cost of Moab

I typically rate campgrounds as they fit into 1 of 5 categories. This campground will be rated as a Basecamp — grounds that offer a comfortable home base that you’re happy to return to after a day of exploring the surrounding area. Ratings for this category are based on: Value to cost: 3 Overall grounds: 3 Utility of sites (hookups, layout, accessibility): 3 Local Attraction Proximity: 4 Reservation Process/Ease of Getting a Site: 4 Amenities: 4 Customer Service: 5 Cleanliness: 4

I feel like I need to start off by saying that Spanish Trails RV resort was the most expensive RV Park we’ve stayed at... and we’ve been to very nice and central campgrounds. In this case, cost doesn’t necessarily equate to value. They had full hookups, pull thru sites and a nice looking pool. I think the price mostly centers on the popularity of the Moab area and the demand during a time when people are exploring by RV. At over $90/night (with taxes), this felt more like we were being charged for proximity to Moab.

There are a ton to RV parks and even more campgrounds and BLM land around this area. When we were looking to book, we were having very little luck and didn’t want to sit in the summer heat for 5 days without hookups, so we were happy to have found an availability here and swallowed the price.

Moab, super nice hot tub, nice pool, nice laundry.

Nice gravel campground, nice views, super nice hot tub open til 10 PM, pool, clean and nice laundry. They were remodeling showers and restrooms when we were there. Definitely a good place to stay. Part time hosts were nice, but full-time managers were super rude. Stayed there twice. Might be 5 star if management was nicer.
