Lilly pad campground and some other sites further up were closed for the season so we ended up here in a first come first serve spot. Very pleasant, would have picked a spot right on the nice little river. Definitely go across to the fairy forest - it’s literally right in the campground. Didn’t have a working water spigot near us which was a bummer. Vault toilets were some of the worse we’ve (smelt). Very very nice hosts and lots of shade
Loved this campground. No showers. Flush toilets with sinks. Rivers and amazing areas for hiking right there. Hosts were fantastic and so nice and chatty. Little food truck and restaurant like a mile up the road - we got the best milkshakes ever and was definitely a highlight.
We were traveling between SLC and Moab and just needed a comfortable spot to crash. This was perfect. Hosts are so nice, literally cleanest bathrooms ever (no showers but flushing toilets and running water sinks) tons of grass and spots are nicely spread apart. We got a nice sunset. Yes trains do come by but we only heard two while we slept. Definitely would come here again for a comfortable night sleep.
The people here were just great- chatty and friendly. Bathrooms clean and showers included in price were nice. There was a nice amount of grass around and the spots were nice and flat. We had spot I and were able to use power which was fantastic. It was super busy when we were there and so they did end up putting another RV right alongside us but we still had our own space. Views from our spot were lovely. Would definitely stay here again.
Do not go with the “rugged tent spots”- dustiest and right backed up to the road and uneven parking. Wifi doesn’t reach and there are porta potties that were not useable. People at front were rude and the whole experience was just bad. The rv area was okay but jammed packed, no space.
Great spot for camping - free! Long road with tons of spots. We ended up pretty far back and really liked our spot. It was up against a large rocky area so wind wasn’t bad. No water, a few ports potties scattered around were in bad shape.
