Rock climbing, off-road driving, and canyon hiking all draw campers to Ledge B, a BLM-managed site along Kane Creek Road outside Moab. The canyon setting puts large sandstone formations within walking distance of camp, and reviewers consistently mention climbing nearby rock features to gain wider sightlines across the plateau. Mountain biking, petroglyph hunting, and 4x4 driving on the road continuing past the campgrounds give campers plenty of reasons to stay more than one night.
The sites include picnic tables and metal fire rings. No shade exists anywhere in the area, so bringing a canopy or tarp is a practical necessity rather than a luxury. There is no running water on-site, and cell service is absent. No Verizon signal has been confirmed by multiple visitors. Each site costs $20 per night with a self-pay credit card machine available at the campground. Vault toilets and dumpsters are on-site. Note that no pets are permitted.
Road access is a key planning factor. Kane Creek Road starts paved but transitions to washboarded dirt, and a tight switchback on a canyon ledge makes it difficult for vehicles towing trailers or anything with a high center of gravity. Two-wheel drive vehicles can generally reach the campground, though drivers should take the switchbacks slowly. Ledge A Campground and Ledge C are nearby alternatives along the same road. As Matthew D. puts it: "breath taking views in the bottom of a canyon." Ledge B works best for self-sufficient campers comfortable with rough road access and no hookups.
