Nice little spot near Thurmont Maryland. Good playground for the kids.
Okay for one night. Pretty open campground. Great place to see the stars of the conditions are right.
Nice campground, super unique hiking and really close to Watkins Glen.
Super clean and well run State Park. Good facilities and big campsites.
Wonderful spot right on the water. Super close to Bar Harbor an Acadia.
Decent campground near really nice state park. Great hiking. Kids love the wild horses! Close the Creeper bike trail also.
Stopped here for one night with no reservation. Really scenic, and quiet even though we weren’t too far off the main road. Pretty river behind our site. Sites offered decent room to spread out.
Could’ve been much better. Somewhat dirty, dumpsters overflowing with trash. Campsites were a little on the small side. Really cool area with really neat hiking.
River right behind our campsite. Some sites were a bit small but we managed to reserve one big enough for a trailer and a tent. Somewhat closed in with a lot of vegetation. Kids loved the river!
Kids enjoyed playing in the water. Wasn’t the clearest water ever but the kids didn’t mind. Bathrooms and showers were nice.
Nice spot close to Mount Rushmore. Got a bit of road noise from the main road. Really cool rock wall behind the camp site the kids are able to climb and play on.
Found a great site with a Boulder yard nearby that the kids spent the entire afternoon playing on. Good views and quiet. Some sites might be tough with bigger trailers. Mosquitoes got pretty bad.

Couldn’t have been more scenic. Long fire road leads to great campsite tucked in a canyon near the river. Hot springs nearby as well as Jackson, Teton and Yellowstone.
Really cool spot on the river. The river running into the mountains look like something out of the Lord of the rings. The river itself had beautiful colors! Mosquitoes were bad, but we’re manageable.
In mid June we were the only ones within sight. 8 miles back in the canyon and no one around! Super windy which made camping tough but was a great experience!
A wonderful place to camp! Couldn’t have been more scenic. The lake was great for an afternoon of paddle boarding.
Easily navigable fire road leads to great creekside campground. Nice facilities. Incredible mountain and creek views. Only complaint is we couldn’t stay longer.
Mesquite campground-8 miles in. Southern tip of the canyon. As close as you can get to dispersed, but with all the amenities of a state park. You can hike and explore straight from the campground. Watch out for rattlers. Bring your own shade and be prepared for windy conditions! Try Palace Coffee in Canyon, TX.
