      Not worth the price

Their website says $35 a night, but it was actually $70 per night, plus $20 to use "dump station".

Site is just a picnic table you park next to. Electricity on end and water on the other, not together. My hose barley reached. The electric box was super janky, no breaker, and had exposed wires. I was nervous about plugging in my trailer.  The water faucet had no handle. I had to use a pair of plyers to turn the valve to get water on.

The "dump station" is not your normal PVC pipe sticking up from the ground. Its a large cement dome, with a cut out door on top. The sewage was about 3 inches from the top, and when I opened the door, I immediately shut it, it was so degusting.

The only good thing about this site was it was near the water. No where near worth the $90 I spent.

There is a much, nice and cheaper campsite on the other side of the lake. Dont waste your money here.

      Good for a layover

There are a limited number of sites, about three. When I arrived, there were none available, but someone cruised through and wanted to chat with me, by the time he finished a site opened up. This was actually my first municipal park stay, so I was a  bit nervous and eventually decided to move on. But the park is as described and it is on an attractive lake. In the end, it's just a place to park for a night unless your have something to do. Main downside is that you may or may not get a place to park.

Stayed her for three weeks. It really is a nice spot for being free, but because the locals don't pick up their trash, it may not be available because of it. There is new manager taking over, and according to the one worker I talked with, I am not sure how much longer this will be available for us nomads.

      Great free spot

We had a great experience at this free site - there are 4 designated camp sites each with a little pullout, fire ring, covered picnic table, and large gravel parking area (probably room for 4+ cars on each). Overall very quiet with a few people driving by and a bit of a hike to the bathroom from the camping area, but it did have running water so can’t complain.

This place was a pleasant surprise. Not a soul here at 5pm. Shade spots, or on grass. Picnic tables and trash bins, swimming area and a boat launch. Bit of washboard on the road, but nothing drastic. Probably busy in summer but a great stop for us in late January.

Love being here. Out of the city, quite and the owners go out of their way to make sure your time at their place is comfortable & safe. The only reason why I gave a 4 ⭐️ is doesn’t have all the amenities you may want, but does have a laundry room.

      Large camping areas!

There are several sites here. Most of the campgrounds look fairly well taken care of. I'm new to this dispersed camping, so I don't have a lot to compare it to.

I'd stay here again. Large campsites, flat area for tents. I only took one star off because I don't feel the view is all that great. At least from the mountain to one last night in New Mexico! And because it's obvious people come here to party. I'm here on a Monday. I suspect the weekend is different.

Well spaced campsites and well maintained CG

We are full-timers in a 36 ft Class A with a Cherokee Trailhawk tow. We were in site 49 for just one night in late March. The campground is nice and well maintained. The sites are fairly well spaced, particularly for a private CG, which was nice. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There is a bit of road noise from I-20.

AT&T coverage was excellent, with 5 Bars of 5G service and speeds up to 10 MB/s. We had an unobstructed view of the sky and so we were able to receive all 3 SW Dish satellites and the Resort WiFi was decent with~2.5 MB/s. We didn’t try to load any OTA channels or set up Starlink.

      Great safe place to stay

Spent a week here in March, great facilities bathroom/showers very clean. Awesome laundry facility in same building which are free to paying customers. Be prepared for fly overs from AFB but I loved the fly overs! Nice dog run and there is a private pond to fish in but I didn’t see any fish. Nice area to stop over even for a night.

      Sufficient Site

Not a vacation getaway, but decent play to park overnight. Arrived on a Monday afternoon. We took one of the sites and not long after we arrived many RVs, Vans, and gypsy travelers showed up and set up around the park. Thankful for a quiet night here.

      A foggy day

Campground is nice enough. Lots of highway noise, but easy to find. All spots were taken, but we got lucky when someone left.

Drive past the bathrooms and the entrances to the sites are on the left.

A little trashy along the water, which was low. And the fog lessened the visibility. I’d say it’s nice enough to stop on a road trip or to relax for a day or two.

Road in has a few holes (see pictures we took) but easy to get “through”… absolutely wonderful park! Quiet (in October) and we saw much wildlife! Deer! Egrets! So lovely… and far from the road (so no noise)!

      Great newer park

Right off I-20 in Abilene. A variety of pull through and back-in full hookup sites. Sites are sand/gravel with an artificial grass patch for each. Laundry and bath sites are new clean and modern. Nice pool and fire pit area next to the camp store. There is some road noise from I 20, sites farthest away from the office are farthest from the highway. The park sits on a high ridge providing beautiful west Texas sunsets.

An OK place for an overnight

This is not by any stretch a good campground.  That said, it is right by I-20 (you can hear the traffic) and there are not very many alternatives in the area.  This KOA has quite a few permanent residents (old campers with stairs and decks...) which, in my mind, gives it a little "creepy" feel.  The sites are gravel and are reasonably level, conducive to not unhooking for the night.  Not all sites have fire rings.  Some sites do not have the table on gravel but on grass.

We will stay here again--if we have no other choice.
