    RidgeView RV Resort

    Great location, near everything

Fairly new park on top of hill. Stayed long term so very familiar with park. Next to I-20 so there’s that. Good pool, dog park, laundromat with pay per load on machines-card. Hard Gravel parking- most sites not completely level, astroturf yard. Roads are asphalt paved so great for walks. Did not use showers. Good sewer, water pressure and 50/30 amp available-included for overnight. Good Spots just for overnight folks-Pull through. Backin long term-very good- best in area for electric kWh price. Good long term rent price. First A.I. mega center being built in the area so wait list long term.

    Lake Stamford Marina

    Country Living at the Lake

The sites are located close to the water with full-hook ups available. Most spots are gravel but depending on lake level some spots now have grass. The better sites have their own covered picnic tables. Some sites have tree with shade closer spot to the water do not any trees or picnic tables. There is store on site however the nearest gas station is a few miles out. There is also mobile home to rent out and they do allow for rent camping. Pets allowed but there is no designated area so must be picked up after. It’s really busy during holiday peak times when we went but it wasn’t as bad as most lakes in the area. Pull through spots are available and some spots are park as you choose. This place isn’t a resort has all amenities but it is right by the water and if you have a boat it’s not a short distance to dock.

    Two things I love:

    1. It is right by the water
    2. The store was pretty well stocked

One thing I didn’t love: Some areas are park as you can fit and not paved or gravel.

    RidgeView RV Resort

    Great newer park

Right off I-20 in Abilene. A variety of pull through and back-in full hookup sites. Sites are sand/gravel with an artificial grass patch for each. Laundry and bath sites are new clean and modern. Nice pool and fire pit area next to the camp store. There is some road noise from I 20, sites farthest away from the office are farthest from the highway. The park sits on a high ridge providing beautiful west Texas sunsets.

    Fort Phantom Lakeside RV Park

    Lake Life

Great location right by the water depending on spot allows for better lake views. They have full site hookups with the spots on gravel. There is also boat ramp right next to site and picnic areas. Also near by is a beautiful city park that is within walking distance from site. Since it on a lake the closet gas stations are about 7 miles away.

    Two things I love:

    1. It’s by the water
    2. It’s close to the city

Thing I don’t love: There isn’t really any shaded spots.

    Tye RV Park

Great place for most, not if you need quiet time.

This place is new and their facility is prestine with great FREE washing machines and all new hookups. The bad is it alligns with the airport runway perfectly, right next to the railway and highway. Most people are there full time and some keep dogs outside. As long as you are ok with all those aspects, you will be ok. We god a great night sleep even with all the noise.

    Whistlestop RV Resort

Nice park! Easily accessible from I-20 in Abilene Friendly staff

It has not been established long enough to have any trees. Hot in Texas and always look for trees to shade us. Really easy to stay here and get in and out easily. Walmart is nearby also

    SeaBee Park

    Large spaces with privacy

This place has a few designated camping areas. Each site is large and could fit more than one rig. The sign said permit required, so I bought the $12 Texas limited use permit, which is good for a year. My site was a mix of asphalt and gravel, and flat. There were yellow jackets around the picnic table. There was some trash, but not too bad. Bathroom around the corner, and a little lake across from the campsites. Each spot has a dusk-to-dawn light. I didn't see any other RVs here, but there were car campers. Everyone seemed to clear out in the morning. I stayed two nights.

    Great Fishing

Nice clean site. A few pull through sites available. Limited shade trees. There is nice grass for our dog. Great fishing dock and crappie house. Great spot for fishing and swimming. People are very welcoming and it’s affordable.

    DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!!!!

I made reservations for this campground 2 weeks in advance for an overnight layover. At the time of the reservation I advised Angelica that my mother was on a walker, not able to move around very well @ which time she advised no “pre-reservations of spots” can be implemented, all spots are assigned @ time of check-in. We get here to check in & when I asked if we could be placed close to the front for my mom to get close to showers I was told there was nothing that could be done, they were full for the weekend (we checked in on Thursday) and we’re not given any option of any alternative solutions to the situation, just simply told “you don’t understand the system assigns the campsites & there’s nothing they can do”. Before hooking up my sister flagged Angelica down & asked her about moving @ which time she replied we could go ask one of the campers that came in behind us that was a few spots closer to the office if they’d be willing to switch spots. After we were completely hooked up & Abigail went back to the office to let the manager know we were less than happy, the Mgr did call to offer us a closer site that was a back-in site that we were more than welcome to move to. TOO LITTLE TOO LATE! I definitely will not stay here again nor will I recommend this campground to anyone!
